Los Angeles Clippers
Dallas Mavericks
LA Clippers @ DAL Mavericks · Point Spread
DAL Mavericks -5.5
Our Analysis

The Dallas Mavericks have wrestled control of their first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers, taking a 2-1 lead behind a suffocating defensive effort. With the Clippers potentially missing Kawhi Leonard due to a nagging knee injury, the Mavericks are well-positioned to deliver a knockout blow and cover the modest 5.5-point spread in Game 4.

Dallas’ stifling defense has been the story, holding the high-powered Clippers to under 100 points in back-to-back games. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving have done just enough on offense, but it’s been the Mavs’ ability to dictate tempo and limit open looks that has swung the series. With Leonard hobbled, the Clippers simply lack the firepower to stick with Dallas’ multi-faceted attack if Paul George can’t drastically elevate his play.

While Doncic fought through an off-shooting night in Game 3, he still flirted with a triple-double. Irving erupted for 19 second-half points as the Clippers struggled to generate efficient offense. Unless Leonard makes a surprise return at full strength, expecting LA to hang within the 5.5-point spread seems optimistic. The Mavericks have taken the Clippers’ best punches and with clear advantages in talent and health, they have a golden opportunity to push LA to the brink with a decisive home win and cover.

Minnesota Timberwolves
Phoenix Suns
MIN Timberwolves @ PHX Suns · Point Spread
MIN Timberwolves -1.0
Our Analysis

The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Phoenix Suns will play game four of their seven game series tonight. The Phoenix Suns dominated the regular season winning all three matchups by double digits. The Timberwolves turned the page in the postseason and have won all three playoff games against the Suns by double digits. Maybe this means they are finally even now, and we can have a close game? Anthony Edwards continues to grow into a household name in this series. Edwards scored 36 points in the 126-109 game three victory. Even with Edwards getting the national attention, it has been a full out team effort by Minnesota in this series. Edwards drew more attention defensively in game two, and his teammates were able to step up. Phoenix has been outplayed in nearly every aspect of this series. Outside of Kevin Durant’s game one performance, the Suns’ big three has not played up to their standards all series. They will need to step up tonight if the Suns want to avoid elimination and force a game five.

The main story of this series is how dominant Minnesota looked in the third quarter of game one and never looked back. A narrative heading into this series was the Suns players were going to play Rudy Gobert and the Minnesota Timberwolves’ big men off the floor in this series. The Timberwolves have outrebounded Phoenix 141 to 97 across all three games and their big men have looked as dominant as ever. Rudy Gobert, Karl-Anthony Towns, Naz Reid, and Jaden McDaniels have all played their roles well. Minnesota got beat by Phoenix in the regular season because they would send help and doubles at Durant and Booker, leaving other shooters open. Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch asked his players to step up to the challenge and defend the Suns without help, and Jaden McDaniels, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Anthony Edwards have all stepped up defensively. Each game has felt like a copy of the last where we see Phoenix settling for contested jumpers and eventually, usually around the third quarter, they get overwhelmed by the top defensive team in the NBA. Minnesota has rolled out the same strategy defensively in all three games now. If Phoenix had an adjustment, we would have seen it by now. The Timberwolves have a chance to make franchise history tonight. A Timberwolves team has never swept an opponent in the postseason. The Suns looked defeated at the end of game three and this Wolves team still looks hungry. I have Minnesota completing the series sweep tonight and mercifully knocking the Suns out of the postseason.

Timberwolves -1 available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.

Milwaukee Bucks
Indiana Pacers
MIL Bucks @ IND Pacers · Point Spread
MIL Bucks +9.5
Our Analysis

The Milwaukee Bucks find themselves in a difficult spot ahead of Game 4 of their series against the Indiana Pacers. They’re down 2-1 and their best player Giannis Antetokounmpo is yet to come back from his calf injury. Damian Lillard also suffered a knee injury in Game 3, but was able to finish the game. Friday’s game went into OT, we saw some positives from the Bucks after a disastrous opening quarter where they fell behind 39-22. Khris Middleton carried the offense with 42 points, but the bench production of the Bucks was nowhere to be found. Game 4 now is almost a must win situation, coming back from a potential 3-1 deficit without your best player sounds like mission impossible to me.

All 5 Pacers starters logged 40+ minutes in that Game 3 victory and all 5 of them scored in double figures. Tyrese Haliburton shot a miserable 1-for-12 from downtown, but his 16 assists more than made up for it. Myles Turner was the high point man with 29, while Pascal Siakam cooled off a bit and finished with just 17. That was Indiana’s 6th win over their last 8 games, this team is in a really good rhythm now and they have a chance to put the Bucks on the ropes with another win in Game 4. These two teams have now played each other 8 times this season, Indiana has come out on top 6 times, so their confidence levels will be at a high heading into Sunday’s game.

This is the game of the season for Milwaukee. They head into it as 9.5 point underdogs, which is a lot for a team that has their backs against the wall. They managed to keep it close in Game 3, I wouldn’t discount them so easily here. I’ll take the Bucks and the extra points.

Bucks +9.5 is available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.

What Is An NBA Parlay Bet

An NBA parlay bet is a single NBA wager with multiple selections, each selection must-win for the bet to cash, but the odds of each selection are multiplied to offer much bigger odds.

You can combine a variety of NBA Picks from different markets if you choose to form an NBA parlay, from Moneyline picks to spreads and totals.

Parlays are a great way to wager on big favorites with their odds likely small for straight wagers, you would have to stake a lot to win a little. By combining the selections into a parlay your stake rolls onto each selection, the only catch being they all must-win for the ticket to cash, one loser, the entire bet is lost.

On fixed NBA Odds markets such as spreads and totals where each selection will be priced around +/-110, a three-team parlay will pay around +600, so your $100 stake will see you profit $600 plus your $100 stake, $700 in total, with a four-team parlay paying around +1200, returning a total $1300 for your $100 stake.

How To Win An NBA Parlay Bet

NBA Parlay bets, despite their popularity, can be tricky to land with upsets commonplace in the NBA and just one losing selection needed for the parlay to lose. So checking our NBA Predictions and NBA Best Bets when considering your selections is always a good idea.

With that in mind, you must be selective with your NBA picks and parlays, and here are a few tips to consider when trying to win an NBA parlay bet.

  1. Keep to 2,3 or 4 team parlays The difficulty of winning parlay increases with each selection you add, and while the odds do too, sticking to 2,3 or 4 team parlays gives you the best chance to see profit over time.
  2. Use parlays to combine multiple strong favorites – If you like the Bucks to beat the Celtics but their Moneyline odds are -250, you may not want to risk $250 to win a profit of $100. Instead, you can add a couple of other strong favorites, say for example the Lakers and Clippers are also -250, a 3-team parlay on these would pay around +175 and $175 profit from a $100 wager.
  3. Shop around for odds – Not all online sportsbooks have the same odds, and while there is often only a marginal difference, if you can wager three picks at -200 each instead of -250, your payout would be $337.50 instead of $274.40 to a $100 stake.
  4. Manage your bankroll  Being disciplined with your bankroll is key to making a profit across an NBA season. If you keep your stake consistent on NBA parlay bets, with 3-team parlays at odds of around 6/1, you only need to win 1 in 7 parlays to break even, any better than that is profit.

Expert NBA Teaser Predictions

NBA teasers are one of the few sports where these types of bets are utilized besides pro and college football. The most common points available in NBA teasers are 4, 4.5, and 5 with some books offering 7 points. You can apply these points on anywhere from 2 to 14 games with each bet you add the payout odds increasing. Of course, for an NBA teaser to be graded a win, each team on the ticket must be graded a win.

What Is An NBA Same Game Parlay

An NBA Same Game Parlay is the same as a regular NBA parlay, a multi-selection single bet, the difference being, the NBA Same Game Parlay sees all of the selections come from one specific match rather than a selection from various different matches.

The obvious positive of an NBA Same Game Parlay is that by combining multiple picks you can shoot for a bigger win on the game you’re watching to the team you root for as the odds increase with each selection.

One of the most popular NBA Same Game Parlay strategies among NBA bettors is to add correlated NBA Prop Bets. Correlated prop bets are when the outcome of one prop will directly affect the outcome of another. For example, you may spot that over the last 10 games no team in the NBA has shot more three-pointers than the Celtics, who now face the Sacramento Kings who allow 40% of their opponent’s 3-pointers to drop. In this instance, you might look to parlay the Celtics to win, as well as Jason Taytum and Jaylen Brown to hit 3+ threes. By identifying a team you like to win and why you like them to win, you can correlate plays with that betting angle and get great NBA Same Game Parlay Odds.

You can also keep it even more simple and think, the Lakers will win because Lebron James has a great matchup and add Lakers-6, Lebron James Triple Double, and Total Points over 220 for example. Again, like in the example above if the Lakers win there is a good chance Lebron has had a great game, and if he does, the points will be racking up. With all of these picks linked to one another, you’re correlating your NBA parlay picks to better your chances of cashing your ticket.

As with any type of Parlay wager, the more selections you add to your NBA Same Game Parlay, the more difficult it is to win, but the more the odds will increase. It’s a fine line between shooting for the stars and trying to seek out value in an NBA Parlay so adding 3 or 4 picks is usually a better option than 7 or 8 picks in one parlay.

How Do I Bet On An NBA Same Game Parlay

FanDuel Sportsbook was the first to champion the Same Game Parlay in the US market, offering them on every NFL game each week and since expanding into other sports such as NBA. The NBA Same Game Parlay has become an increasingly popular bet type as you can have a bet solely based on the game you’re watching or the team you support, and with a chance of hitting a big win for smaller stakes. With the growing popularity, NBA same game parlays are now available at other sportsbooks such as BetMGM and PointsBet under the names One Game Parlay and Single Game Parlay respectively. Different name, same concept.

NBA Parlay FAQs

A basketball parlay is a combination of multiple NBA bets on one ticket. You could have multiple selections for winning teams, team or player prop bets or a combination of these.

The important thing to know is by putting the bets together you multiple your odds, but all bets must win for the ticket to win, lose one and you lose it all.

Yes. You can parlay certain NBA futures before and during the season, but what you can bet on and the odds available will depend on the Sportsbook. Most will accept a parlay of NBA Champion, MVP and defensive player of the year, but there are many more potential combinations you can bet on.
