Josh Hart under 0.5 threes (+120)

Josh Hart has been having issues from beyond the arc of late. His struggles started in January where he knocked down just 25% of his three-point attempts. That fell to 23.8% in February. Over his last 6 games, he has knocked down just 1 of his 11 three-point attempts, going without a shot from beyond the arc in 2 of those contests.

The Lakers are one of the best teams at defending the perimeter too, ranking 5th in opponent three-point percentage over the last 10 games. They have been allowing opponents to make just 32.4% of their attempts. Both teams have ranked in the bottom 10 of the league in pace which should reduce the number of possessions both sides see here. This does not seem like the game where Hart will break out of his slump.

Josh Hart to record a double-double – Yes (+165)

One thing that Hart has had success in doing is stuffing the stat sheet. He recorded a triple-double in his last meeting against the Lakers in February and could have similar success here. He remains the best rebounding guard in the league and has averaged 9.4 rebounds per game over his last 8 contests. The Lakers are 4th in the league over the last 10 games in three-point attempts, meaning there should be plenty of long rebounding opportunities for guards like Hart to chase down.

Jaxson Hayes is also far from a dominant rebounder too, averaging 5.2 per game over the last 10 contests. Hart should have a chance to sneak some offensive rebounds in too. The Knicks guard has double-digit points in 10 of his last 12 games and the assists could be a nice insurance on this pick too.

Jaxson Hayes over 1.5 steals & blocks (-135)

Lakers center Hayes has been a consistent rim protector over recent games. He has recorded a block in 15 of his last 17 games, including in his last meeting against the Knicks. His opponents are 25th in opponent blocks per game over their last 10 contests so have been prone to getting their shots swatted away. Hayes should be the one collecting them here.

In his last game against New York, the Lakers center also recorded 3 steals in the game. It tied his season high in steals so it would not be a surprise to see him manage at least 1 here tonight. He will be matched up against Karl-Anthony Towns, who is 2nd in usage on the Knicks roster. It should give the Lakers man plenty of opportunities to not only contest shots but to also pick up steals trying to deny him the ball.

Jaylen Brown 2+ made threes (-192)

Jaylen Brown had a relatively quiet night against the Portland Trail Blazers yesterday as the duo of Payton Pritchard and Derrick White went off. Despite no threes made in that game, I still have confidence in Brown having a solid output tonight against the lowly 76ers. He’s cleared this line 9 times in 15 games overall and in the last 3 meetings with Philadelphia. With so many threats from the perimeter on this team, it’s really hard for opponents to single out an individual player they can contain when going up against Boston.

Philadelphia’s perimeter defense has been bad all year as they enter this game in 26th place when it comes to opponent three-point percentage, allowing 36.9% of threes to go in. We just saw the Timberwolves knock down 18 threes against them, which isn’t encouraging at all. The last time these 2 teams met, Boston went off for 24 threes on 54 attempts, so I’m confident Brown can make a pair to get our 76ers vs Celtics Same Game Parlay off to a hot start.

Quentin Grimes to score 20+ points (+136)

This is the time for Quentin Grimes to shine. With Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid both out and Paul George not being at his best, Grimes has the opportunity to showcase his talents and possibly get signed to a contract this offseason when his Philly deal expires. He’s shown glimpses of what teams could expect from him in recent games. In the latest 76ers defeat to Minnesota, he went off for 30 points on just 18 field-goal attempts, and prior to that he had a 44-point output in the win over Golden State.

With opposing teams not really having a scouting report on him, Grimes can catch a few teams sleeping in the coming weeks, assuming he keeps his position in the starting lineup while Maxey is out. He’s now the main ball handler for this 76ers team, playing alongside Kelly Oubre Jr. in the backcourt. After playing last night against the Blazers, there could be some tired legs out there for the Celtics, so let’s hope Grimes can make the most out of his opportunity here.

Paul George to record 6+ rebounds (-290)

He might not have the scoring touch he once had, but Paul George still has a 6’8″ frame which he can use to help his team win. One of his assets is certainly in the rebounding department, which that has plagued this Sixers team all season long. PG is averaging 5.3 rebounds per game in his last 9 outings. He has cleared this line in 3 straight games overall and I like his chances to continue that solid run against a Boston team that ranks only 17th in opponent rebounds per game.

The Celtics launch an NBA-high 48.1 threes per game, so if that shot isn’t falling like it did last night against the Blazers, there should be a lot of extra rebounds to grab in this game. With no Joel Embiid and only Andre Drummond to rely on to grab loose basketball, I’m confident head coach Nick Nurse will assign George extra duties on the defensive end here.

IND Pacers -2.5
Our Analysis

Indiana is carrying a lot of momentum right now as it heads to Atlanta looking for its 7th win in 9 games. Tyrese Haliburton has been on a heater ever since Tim Hardaway called him out – his last 6 games read averages of 24.2 points and 12.5 assists per game, while shooting an incredible 61.4% from the field and 59.1% from three on 4.3 makes per game. Are those numbers sustainable against Atlanta? Judging by the last 5 meetings, it looks like they are. Haliburton is at almost 14 assists per game over that run and Indiana is a perfect 5-0 SU. The only concern ahead of this game is the fact that Haliburton has a minor hip problem, which has caused him to be listed as day-to-day on the injury report.

Atlanta’s defensive issues are well known, as they’ve lost 3 of 4 games while allowing at least 127 points in all 4 of them. At some point you have to start playing some defense to win games, but Atlanta just isn’t focused on that end of the floor right now. Similar to Haliburton, Trae Young has put up big-time numbers over his last 10 games, averaging 25.5 points and 12.2 rebounds, but his shooting splits are not good at all. Atlanta has just 2 wins in 11 home games and only 1 win in 6 against Eastern Conference opponents. The good news for them is the fact that the Bulls, who are in the 10th seed, are 4 games back, so they have some cushion to make the play-in tournament. Considering the difference in form, I’ll be banking on the Pacers to cover here.

PHI 76ers +14.0
Our Analysis

The Boston Celtics host the Philadelphia 76ers in what many expect to be a one-sided affair, with Boston entering as a 14-point favorite. However, despite missing both Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, the 76ers could be a sneaky play in this matchup. Injuries to star players often create opportunities for role players to step up, and Philadelphia has seen promising performances from Quentin Grimes, who has posted 30 and 44 points in March. With expectations lowered, the 76ers may be playing more freely, and they still have a slim chance to sneak into the play-in tournament, trailing the Chicago Bulls by 2.5 games.

On the other side, Boston may not be fully locked in, as this game is sandwiched between bigger matchups. With a showdown against the Lakers looming on Saturday, the Celtics could be in a “look-through” spot, potentially coasting through the game. After last night’s historic performances from Derrick White and Payton Pritchard in a shorthanded win, Boston could be in for a letdown offensively. Philadelphia has shown to play Boston well, and with the Celtics unlikely to exert themselves fully, the 76ers could keep this game closer than expected. Despite their defensive struggles (ranking 25th in efficiency), expect Philly’s supporting cast to show some fight.

76ers vs Celtics prediction: 76ers +14 (-105) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.

New York Knicks
Los Angeles Lakers
NY Knicks @ LA Lakers · Point Spread
LA Lakers -3.5
Our Analysis

The marquee game in the association on Thursday takes place in Los Angeles, where the Lakers will host the New York Knicks in a battle of a pair of historic NBA franchises at the Crypto.com Arena. From a situational perspective, this is a tough spot for the Knicks, as New York just had to play a physical game in a loss to the Warriors at Madison Square Garden, and will now be making the cross-country trip to battle a Lakers team that has played 5 consecutive games at home, dating back to February 25. What’s also a problem for the Knicks is the injury report, as New York could be without Karl-Anthony Towns (personal reasons), OG Anunoby (thumb), Precious Achiuwa (hamstring) and Mitchell Robinson (ankle). While I do expect at least a couple of these key pieces to suit up, New York will likely be compromised in some form on both sides of the ball. That doesn’t bode well with the Lakers firing on all cylinders of late, especially at home.

Los Angeles was already exceeding expectations a bit this season, but the Lakers’ aspirations were turned up a notch following the acquisition of Luka Doncic in February. It took a few games, but the superstar guard has meshed well with LeBron James and the Lakers offense is starting to look like a well-oiled machine. That spells trouble for a Knicks defense that is already the weak link of the team and has struggled mightily against high-level competition to this point in the season. New York already finds it tough to protect the rim and defend the perimeter, and those issues would only be exacerbated without the likes of Anunoby or Robinson in the lineup. Not being able to defend well in rotation is exactly what you don’t want against a Lakers offense that will spread you out and cause mismatches all over the floor with the high basketball IQ of Doncic and James. Given my concerns with the Knicks’ roster heading into this game and the way the Lakers have played of late, I can only look at Los Angeles on Thursday.

What Is An NBA Parlay Bet

An NBA parlay bet is a single NBA wager with multiple selections, each selection must-win for the bet to cash, but the odds of each selection are multiplied to offer much bigger odds.

You can combine a variety of NBA Picks from different markets if you choose to form an NBA parlay, from Moneyline picks to spreads and totals.

Parlays are a great way to wager on big favorites, with their odds likely small for straight wagers, you would have to stake a lot to win a little. By combining the selections into a parlay your stake rolls onto each selection, the only catch being they all must-win for the ticket to cash, one loser, the entire bet is lost.

On fixed NBA Odds markets such as spreads and totals where each selection will be priced around -110, a three-team parlay will pay around +600, so your $100 stake will see you profit $600 plus your $100 stake, $700 in total, with a four-team parlay paying around +1200, returning a total $1300 for your $100 stake.

How To Win An NBA Parlay Bet

NBA Parlay bets, despite their popularity, can be tricky to land with upsets commonplace in the NBA and just one wrong selection losing your parlay. So checking our NBA Predictions and NBA Best Bets when considering your selections is always a good idea.

With that in mind, you must be selective with your NBA picks and parlays, and here are a few tips to consider when trying to win an NBA parlay bet.

  1. Keep to 2,3 or 4 team parlays The difficulty of winning a parlay increases with each selection you add, and while the odds increase too, sticking to 2,3 or 4 team parlays gives you the best chance to see profit over time.
  2. Use parlays to combine multiple strong favorites – If you like the Celtics to beat the Hornets but their Moneyline odds are -250, you may not want to risk $250 to win a profit of $100. Instead, you can add a couple of other strong favorites, say for example the Nuggets and Mavericks are also -250, a 3-team parlay on these would pay around +175 and $175 profit from a $100 wager.
  3. Shop around for odds – Not all online sportsbooks have the same odds, and while there is often only a marginal difference, if you can wager three picks at -200 each instead of -250, your payout would be $337.50 instead of $274.40 to a $100 stake.
  4. Manage your bankroll  Being disciplined with your bankroll is key to making a profit across an NBA season. If you keep your stake consistent on NBA parlay bets, with 3-team parlays at odds of around +600, you only need to win 1 in 7 parlays to break even, any better than that is profit.

Expert NBA Teaser Predictions

NBA teasers are one of the few sports where these types of bets are utilized besides pro and college football. The most common points available in NBA teasers are 4, 4.5, and 5 with some books offering 7 points. You can apply these points on anywhere from 2 to 14 games, with each bet you add the payout odds increase. Of course, for an NBA teaser to be graded a win, each team on the ticket must be graded a win.

What Is An NBA Same Game Parlay

An NBA Same Game Parlay is the same as a regular NBA parlay, a multi-selection single bet, the difference being, the NBA Same Game Parlay sees all of the selections come from one specific game rather than a selection from various different games.

The obvious positive of an NBA Same Game Parlay is that by combining multiple picks you can shoot for a bigger win on the game your team is playing in, the game you feel most confident predicting, or the game you’re watching. Whatever the reason, an NBA same game parlay adds to the excitement, the odds and the winnings.

One of the most popular NBA Same Game Parlay strategies among NBA bettors is to add correlated NBA Prop Bets. Correlated prop bets are when the outcome of one prop will directly affect the outcome of another. For example, you may spot that over the last 10 games no team in the NBA has shot more three-pointers than the Celtics, who now face the Sacramento Kings who allow 40% of their opponent’s 3-pointers to drop. In this instance, you might look to parlay the Celtics to win, as well as Jason Taytum and Jaylen Brown to hit 3+ threes. By identifying a team you like to win and why you like them to win, you can correlate plays with that betting angle and get great NBA Same Game Parlay Odds.

You can also keep it even more simple and back the Lakers to win because LeBron James has a great matchup, a parlay of Lakers to win, LeBron James Triple Double, and Total Points over 220 for example. If the Lakers win there is a good chance LeBron has had a great game, and if he does, the points will be racking up. With all of these picks linked to one another, you’re correlating your NBA parlay picks to better your chances of cashing your ticket.

As with any type of Parlay wager, the more selections you add to your NBA Same Game Parlay, the more difficult it is to win, but the more the odds will increase. It’s a fine line between shooting for the stars and trying to seek out value in an NBA Parlay so adding 3 or 4 picks is usually a more realistic option than 7 or 8 picks in one parlay.

How Do I Bet On An NBA Same Game Parlay

FanDuel was the first to champion the Same Game Parlay in the US market, offering them on every NFL game each week and since expanding into other sports such as NBA. The NBA Same Game Parlay has become an increasingly popular bet type as you can have a bet solely based on the game you’re watching or the team you support, and with a chance of hitting a big win for smaller stakes. With the growing popularity, NBA same game parlays are now available at other sportsbooks such as BetMGM and Bet365 under the names One Game Parlay. Different name, same concept.

To bet on an NBA Same Game Parlay, simply head to FanDuel Sportsbook or BetMGM.

Each selection you click will be added to your bet slip on the right side of the page, with the Same Game Parlay odds updated every time you add a pick. Once you have added all of your selections, enter the amount you wish to wager and hit ‘place bet’. And that’s it, you’re on!

NBA Parlay FAQs

A basketball parlay is a combination of multiple NBA bets on one ticket. You could have multiple selections for winning teams, team or player prop bets or a combination of these.

The important thing to know is by putting the bets together you multiple your odds, but all bets must win for the ticket to win, lose one and you lose it all.

Yes. You can parlay certain NBA futures before and during the season, but what you can bet on and the odds available will depend on the Sportsbook. Most will accept a parlay of NBA Champion, MVP and defensive player of the year, but there are many more potential combinations you can bet on.
