NY Yankees Win
Our Analysis

The New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles face off Monday, with the O’s having a chance for the lead in the AL East. Both teams are coming in hot. The Yankees are 6-4 in the last 10 and Orioles being 7-3, but the Orioles are 2-3 in their last five. Including a series loss against the lowly Oakland Athletics.

Clarke Schmidt (3.55 ERA) gets the nod, and has pitched well against the Orioles. He has given up a total of 7 earned runs his last three starts against them, including two Yankees wins. His last two starts have been quality. Giving up 4 earned runs, and having 13 strikeouts to only 2 walks. His counterpart Grayson Rodriguez (4.45 ERA) is coming off a performance where he got shelled against the Los Angeles Angels. Giving up 11 hits with 7 earned runs.

The Yankees lineup has been absolutely dangerous as of late. Scoring 15 (!) runs a piece the last two games, and by the words of my die-hard Yankee fan roommate, “Aaron Judge is back.” Words no one else in the AL East would like to hear. After a slow start to the season, Judge has batted .350 with 3 home runs in the last 5 games. Pair that with an already hot Juan Soto you get a formula for W’s.  With a quality starter on the mound paired with a scorching hot lineup go ahead and take the Yankees at plus money.

Atlanta Braves

ATL Braves @ SEA Mariners · Run Line
SEA Mariners +1.5
Our Analysis

The league-leading Atlanta Braves head to Seattle for a series that begins on Monday. The Braves are one of a handful of teams looking to be the first to 20 wins on the season. The Mariners, for their part, started the season really cold but have picked it up over the past couple of weeks. Conventional wisdom says that the Braves, who have no holes in their lineup, will outslug the much less potent Mariners, but I like the contrarian hedge with the M’s tonight. The Run Line is very reasonably priced, and Seattle plays a lot of low scoring, 1-run ballgames.

The Braves played extra innings on Sunday and then caught a cross-country flight. That is a classic recipe for a letdown spot. On the mound for the Mariners is Bryce Miller. He has strung together 4 excellent starts in a row, all against good offenses, and there is plenty of reason to believe he can navigate the Atlanta offense without too much damage. Max Fried is going for the Braves, and he has been hittable so far this year as he works back into form. I think there is reason to think that the M’s can keep this game close, even if they don’t win it. Give me the underdog on the Run Line tonight.

Los Angeles Dodgers

LA Dodgers @ ARI Diamondbacks · Money Line
LA Dodgers Win
Our Analysis

The Toronto Blue Jays put an end to the Dodgers’ six-game winning streak with a solid 3-1 victory yesterday. Now, the Dodgers shift their focus to a matchup against the struggling Arizona Diamondbacks, who are aiming to bounce back after losing three of their last four games on the road.

In their recent series against the Blue Jays, the Dodgers displayed their offensive firepower, scoring 17 runs on 36 hits. Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks struggled offensively, managing just 5 runs on 12 hits against the Mariners. While the Dodgers sit second in the league with an impressive .274 batting average and .793 OPS, the Diamondbacks aren’t too far behind with a team batting of .250 and .722 OPS.

Pitching will be crucial in tonight’s game, and the Dodgers have the advantage in that department. James Paxton gets the nod for the Dodgers, coming off a solid performance against the Nationals where he allowed only 1 run on 5 hits over 4.2 innings. On the other hand, the Diamondbacks will turn to lefty Tommy Henry, who was effective in his last start against the Cardinals but has struggled at home with a 10.80 ERA, and allowing hitters to bat .405 against him.

Paxton has been reliable on the road with a 2.53 ERA, and hitters only batting .205.  When you have a lineup like the Dodgers, and the advantage in pitching, it’s hard to think the Diamondbacks will keep this game close.  Look for the Dodgers to come out swinging to make up for yesterday’s loss.

Dodgers (-140) available at the time of publishing; playable to (-150).

WAS Nationals Win
Our Analysis

Last night’s game between these divisional foes turned into a softball score. 21 runs were scored as the Nats overcame a 7-0 deficit to win by 3. As for tonight, the game should feature fewer runs since Jake Irvin is on the mound for the Nationals. Irvin had a 3.13 ERA after his first 4 starts of the year, but his ERA soared through the ceiling after the Dodgers shelled him in his last outing. To be fair, Irvin faced the star-studded Dodgers in back-to-back starts, and the offense will always have the advantage when facing the same pitcher the second time. The bottom line is I’m still high on Irvin.

A few seasons ago, Trevor Rogers was one of my favorite pitchers to back. However, a lot has changed since his All-Star season in 2021. Most notably, his pitches aren’t as effective as they used to be. In 2021, he ranked in the 95th percentile in fastball run value and 91st in offspeed run value. Through his first few starts in 2024, his fastball is still solid as it ranks in the 92nd percentile, but he ranks in the 6th percentile in breaking ball run value and 1st percentile in offspeed run value. Hitters are smashing his changeup and slider, and the Nats should be able to continue that trend on Monday.

Chicago Cubs
New York Mets
CHI Cubs @ NY Mets · Money Line
CHI Cubs Win
Our Analysis

The Cubs were featured on Sunday Night Baseball in Boston, Massachusetts, but now travel to New York on a sour note. Boston mounted a 9th-inning rally to win the game and series for the Red Sox. Chicago’s next stop is Queens for a 4-game set against the Mets, and the Cubbies will start the series with Jameson Taillon on the bump. Taillon has made only 2 starts this season, but he’s looked sharp in both outings as he’s surrendered 2 earned runs and 10 hits in 10.2 innings. His command seems to be improved and he’s avoiding hard-hit contact.

Luis Severino was one of the worst pitchers in baseball last season. It just felt like no matter what he did, the ball always ended up in the outfield bleachers. In the offseason, he stayed in New York but switched teams for a new setting. So far, that change has worked wonders since he owns a 2.67 ERA with a 22.4% strikeout rate in 5 starts. However, I’m still not completely sold on Severino. He’s allowing a .270 batting average and .343 on-base percentage in 3 starts at home. At plus-money odds, I’m taking a shot on the Cubbies to bounce back from their primetime loss.

Philadelphia Phillies
Los Angeles Angels
PHI Phillies @ LA Angels · Run Line
PHI Phillies -1.5
Our Analysis

The Phillies are red-hot right now. Philly has won 4 games in a row, which includes a 3-game sweep over the Padres. The pitching staff has been spectacular and the lineup is finally looking dangerous. On the mound tonight is Cristopher Sanchez, a southpaw who has allowed only 1 earned run in 3 consecutive outings. Perhaps even more impressive than that is Sanchez owns a 25.5% strikeout rate and ranks in the 98th percentile in ground-ball rate. The lefty is getting a lot of whiffs, and when the hitters make contact, it’s usually weak contact on the ground. That should be a great combination against an Angels lineup that ranks top 10 in strikeout rate against lefties.

Countering Sanchez will be Griffin Canning, a right-hander who has had a tough time keeping the ball in the park. Through 5 starts, Canning has a 7.50 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, and a .274 xBA. He’s also allowed 5 home runs in just 24 innings, and the majority of that damage has come against his fastball. Canning’s fastball has been his weakness this season, and it also happens to be his primary pitch. Hitters have a .346 batting average and a .808 slugging percentage against his four-seam fastball. The Phillies hunt fastballs, and that should lead to the visitors securing a multi-run win.

What Is An MLB Parlay

A parlay bet is a single bet in which you combine multiple selections. In an MLB parlay you multiply the odds of each individual selection to calculate the parlay odds, so the potential to bet small and win big is great. Similar to an NHL Parlay, MLB Parlays do not have a traditional points spread market, with the run line usually set at +/- 1.5 runs, and the odds change rather than the line itself.

The most commonly wagered markets in MLB parlay bets are Run Lines and Money Lines and are often used to increase the odds when betting on a couple of favorites.

With multiple games played on any given game day, MLB parlays are a great way to have a wager and interest in multiple games on today’s slate.

Our experts analyze every game of the MLB season, leaving no stone unturned in trying to find the best opportunities and strongest selections to make up our MLB parlay bets, all of which can be found here on our MLB Parlay Bets page.

How To Bet On Our MLB Parlay Picks

Betting on MLB picks and parlays is a quick and simple process with any online sportsbook. To create a parlay, you simply have to add multiple selections into your bet slip and click the parlay option before placing your wager.

Comparing odds is always important when placing a wager, but none more so than when placing a parlay bet. In the age of an expanding online sportsbook industry, sportsbooks are eager to custom and display this by competing to provide the best odds across their sportsbook. This is great for the bettor as you can shop around to find the best odds before placing your wager.

In an MLB parlay bet where you may be combining three strong favorites, each at odds of -200 with one online sportsbook, your $100 wager would return $338 if another sportsbook has the same three selections at odds of -150, a marginal difference, but with parlay odds multiplying, the difference in the payout is noticeable, with this scenario returning $463 for a $100 wager, $125 more.

How To Win An MLB Parlay Bet

MLB parlay bets are increasingly popular but can be notoriously tough to land, with teams often splitting MLB series’ and The premise that anyone can beat anyone, on any given day.

So avoiding these potential pitfalls in adding selections to your MLB parlay is the toughest part. Our experts analyze everything from team form and news, matchups, weather conditions, and a wealth of player and team statistics ahead of making all of our MLB predictions to try best to reduce the chances of this.

Here are a couple of popular MLB parlay strategies used to try and increase the value of your odds with the aim of avoiding baseball’s variance and give yourself the best chance of turning a profit long term.

  1. Parlaying large favorites –  Straight wagers on large favorites offer bettors little value, a $100 wager on a -200 favorite will return just $150, a little reward for your risk. Combining two favorites at the same odds of -200 would see your same $100 stake would return $225, a more appealing return for your wager.
  2. Home Favourite and Under – You can parlay the money line and run total in the same game and a large home favorite and the under is a popular choice amongst MLB parlay bettors. Home teams bat last in baseball, and when they have a lead, the game only goes 8.5 innings instead of 9, a plus for unders backers.

Our expert handicappers have a wealth of experience wagering on MLB parlay bets, with tried and tested strategies and analysis in hand, we provide the best free MLB parlay bets throughout the season.

How To Calculate MLB Parlay Odds

An MLB parlay bet is a single wager on multiple MLB Picks, with all selections needing to win for your ticket to cash. One of the main reasons sports bettors wager on MLB parlays is due to a large number of games, and an MLB parlay bet allows you to wager on multiple games at bigger odds than straight wagers.

One aspect of the parlay bet that can confuse sports bettors is the odds of an MLB parlay bet. Where some examples like NFL Parlays will comprise of selections such as Against The Spread or Totals, these are fixed odds of always around +110 or -110, and thus, the parlay odds stay fairly constant too with a 3-team NFL parlay around 6/1 or a 4-team parlay around 12/1.

With MLB parlays, the markets are often not fixed odds, instead, the run line is fixed at +/-1.5 runs or +/- 0.5 runs with the odds changing to reflect the matchup. Similarly, Moneyline odds, which are also common in MLB parlays, will differ depending on the matchup, so calculating parlay odds aren’t as simple.

To calculate parlay odds you must multiply the odds of each selection of the parlay, the easiest form of odds to do this with is decimal.

For Example

If you want to parlay three selections at odds of 3.0, 4.3, and 2.2 you simply multiply the odds of your selections and then by your stake to calculate your winnings.

3.0 x 4.3 x 2.2 = 28.38 odds

28.38 x $50 stake = $1,419 payout.

All online sportsbooks will calculate the parlay odds and potential payouts for your selections if you add them to your bet slip and click on the parlay tab.

Baseball Parlays – What Is An MLB Same Game Parlay

An MLB Same Game Parlay is the same as a regular MLB parlay, a multi-selection single bet, the difference being, the MLB Same Game Parlay sees all of the picks come from the same match rather than a selection from multiple different matches. The big positive of an MLB Same Game Parlay is that by combining multiple picks you can shoot for a bigger win on the game you’re watching or the team you root for, as like all parlays, the odds of your MLB Saem Game Parlay increase with each selection.

MLB Same Game Parlays also allow us to be strategic in our approach and knowing which picks to combine with one another. One of the most popular MLB Same Game Parlay strategies is to add correlated props and picks to the parlay. What we mean by correlated props is choosing picks that are in some way linked to each other, with the outcome of one pick likely to improve the chances of another. For Example, if you like a team in a particular spot because they have a favorable matchup against the starting pitcher, you might envision an easy win for the team in a high-scoring, high-action game. In this spot, you may look to parlay the team to win on the run line, or even an enhanced run spread, say -2.5 runs, along with a number of players to have 2+ hits, to score a run or hit a home run. By combing these picks, if you are right in your analysis that a team can score and cover -.2.5 runs, if they do, the batters will likely be registering plenty of hits and runs themselves.

As with any type of Parlay wager, the more selections you add to your MLB Same Game Parlay, the more difficult it is to win, but also that more the odds will increase. It’s a fine line between shooting for the stars and trying to seek out value in an MLB Parlay so adding 3 or 4 picks is usually a better option for your main play with a sprinkle play on a parlay with more selections than that.
