Rodriguez Win(-148)

The first fight on the Main Card at UFC on ESPN 64 will see Ronaldo Rodriguez take on Kevin Borjas. This will be a fight in the UFC Flyweight division. Rodriguez enters this fight with an MMA record of 17-2 and 2-1 in the UFC. He is averaging 2.13 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 44%. Rodriguez is absorbing 3.15 strikes and has a striking defense of 46%. His grappling is also solid, averaging 1.13 takedowns every 15 minutes and 1.1 submission attempts during the same period. Rodriguez has a takedown accuracy of 50% and a takedown defense of 64%.

Borjas enters this fight with an MMA record of 9-3 and 1-2 in the UFC. He is averaging 4.92 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 40%. Borjas is absorbing 6.70 strikes and has a striking defense of 49%. He has shown no grappling ability in the UFC but has a takedown defense of 61%.

Rodriguez is the moderate-sized favorite in this fight but still looks to be a solid betting option. Where he lacks in striking volume, he makes up for with his grappling. Because he has already had some success in the UFC, backing Rodriguez to win will be our best bet.

Fight to go the Distance - No(-140)

The second fight on the Main Card at UFC on ESPN 64 will see David Martinez take on Saimon Oliveira. This will be a fight in the UFC Bantamweight division. Martinez enters this fight with an MMA record of 11-1 and 1-0 in the UFC. He is averaging 5.27 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 49%. Martinez absorbs 3.07 strikes per minute and has a striking defense of 66%. He has not shown any grappling ability in his lone Contender Series fight but has a takedown defense of 100%.

Oliveira enters this fight with an MMA record of 18-5 and 1-2 in the UFC. He is averaging 2.82 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 41%. Oliveira absorbs 3.91 strikes per minute and has a striking defense of 48%. His grappling has been solid, averaging 1.21 takedowns every 15 minutes and 1.6 submission attempts during the same period. Oliveira has a takedown accuracy of 25% and a takedown defense of 35%.

For this fight, we will be looking at the fight to end inside the distance. Martinez has seen 9 of his 12 career fights end inside the distance, which includes 4 of his last 5 fights. As for Oliveira, he has seen 16 of his 23 career fights do the same, including 5 of his last 7 fights. Because the finish rate for both fighters has been high recently, backing this fight to end inside the distance will be our best bet.

Fight to go the Distance - Yes(-150)

The third fight on the Main Card at UFC on ESPN 64 will see Raul Rosas Jr. take on Vince Morales. This will be a fight in the UFC Bantamweight division. Rosas Jr. enters this fight with an MMA record of 10-1 and 5-1 in the UFC. He is averaging 1.55 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 43%. Rosas Jr. absorbs 1.43 strikes and has a striking defense of 51%. His grappling has been elite, averaging 4.02 takedowns every 15 minutes and 1.3 submission attempts during the same period. He has a takedown accuracy of 39% but has not defended a takedown in the UFC.

Morales enters this fight with an MMA record of 16-9 and 3-8 in the UFC. He is averaging 3.84 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 37%. Morales absorbs 4.29 strikes and has a striking defense of 53%. His grappling has not been very effective, averaging 0.54 takedowns every 15 minutes. He has a takedown accuracy of 35% and a takedown defense of 60%.

Rosas Jr. is the heavy favorite in this fight; therefore, we will be looking at this fight to go the distance. Rosas Jr. has seen 3 of his last 6 UFC fights go the distance, while Morales has seen his last 4 UFC fights do the same. Morales is 0-4 in his last 4 UFC fights, and all these losses were by decision. For that reason, backing this fight to go the distance will be our lean.

The fourth fight on the Main Card at UFC on ESPN 64 will see Kelvin Gastelum take on Joe Pyfer. This will be a fight in the UFC Middleweight division. Gastelum enters this fight with an MMA record of 20-9 and 13-9 in the UFC. He is averaging 3.74 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 42%. Pyfer absorbs 3.48 strikes and has a striking defense of 51%. His grappling is also solid, averaging 1.45 takedowns every 15 minutes. He has a takedown accuracy of 41% and a takedown defense of 50%.

Pyfer is the clear favorite in this fight, so we will be looking for this fight to end inside the distance. Pyfer has seen 5 of his last 6 UFC fights end inside the distance, and Gastelum has seen 14 of his last 28 career fights do the same. Because Pyfer has been finishing nearly all of his opponents, backing this fight to end inside the distance will be our lean.

Torres Win(-102)

The Co-Main Event at UFC on ESPN 64 will see Manuel Torres take on Drew Dober. This will be a fight in the UFC Lightweight division. Torres enters this fight with an MMA record of 15-3 and 4-1 in the UFC. He is averaging 7.17 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 55%. Dober absorbs 4.25 strikes and has a striking defense of 51%. His grappling is not as strong, averaging 0.67 takedowns every 15 minutes. Dober has a takedown accuracy of 17% and a takedown defense of 56%.

Dober is the slight favorite in this fight, but Torres looks to be a solid option to pull the upset. Torres has only lost one UFC fight, while Dober is 1-3 in his last 4 UFC fights. Further, Torres has the advantage in both striking and grappling. For that reason, backing Torres to win will be our best bet.

Moreno is the heavy favorite in this fight but still looks to be worth a small play. Moreno lacks in striking volume but has a better striking defense and better grappling. He also is a former champion, while Erceg does not have a ton of UFC experience. For this reason, backing Morena to win will be our lean.

UFC Picks Explained

There are many different types of UFC picks, with countless ways to bet on this weekend’s UFC action. As with most sports, the easiest and simplest form of UFC pick is the Moneyline. A UFC Moneyline pick is a pick on who you think will win the fight, the method is irrelevant, be it TKO/KO, submission, or on the judge’s scorecard, whoever has their arm raised is the Moneyline winner. Other popular UFC Picks include the Method Of Victory and an over/under on the number of rounds the fight will last. Aside from these, there are many other props available ranging from Strikes Landed, Number Of Takedowns, or Will The Fight Go The Distance. Here at Pickswise, our expert UFC handicappers are on hand to find the best UFC Picks for all of this week’s action. Check out our latest UFC Picks above.

UFC Pick Em

A UFC Pick Em can mean one of two things, either the sportsbooks have each fighter with the same odds, a bit like in the NFL, when the spread is 0, or it could mean a contest whereby you have to pick the winner of each fight, in effect the Moneyline winner. Our UFC picks and the insight and analysis in particular that we offer alongside them can be used in both of these circumstances. We offer our experts’ view on the fight including the outcome, including those Moneyline UFC pick-em spots, and also on all of the other top UFC action. With our in-depth previews and picks, you can also use these as the basis for your UFC Pick Em contest too. Whatever you need, Pickswise will have you covered with all things UFC, from the best picks to the latest UFC betting news. We help you to Bet better.

UFC DFS Picks

When Are Your UFC Picks Posted

Our UFC Picks are typically posted just after the weigh-ins which usually take place the day before the fight. Waiting until this point allows us to maximize the information we can obtain from the Fight Week clues. One of the UFC’s biggest strengths as an organization and a big proponent of its success is the access in which it gives the media surrounding an event. Both fighters will be made available to the media on fight week and as are the weigh-ins. In both of these instances, you can get both physical and verbal clues as to how the fighter’s camp, weight cut, and preparation have gone over the previous 6-8 weeks. Of course, a fighter isn’t going to give his or her game plan away in its entirety, but even slight clues in their answers, or seeing the shape they are in at the weigh-in can be performance indicators for the weekend. All of this is considered right up until the time we post our picks, as we want to ensure we have all of the available information to make the most informed and best free UFC picks out there.
