Timberwolves hold off new-look Mavs
The NBA followed up Super Bowl Sunday with an 11-game slate on Monday, and we had some exhilarating finishes and upsets. Most notably, the Minnesota Timberwolves (+6.5) clamped Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic on the last possession to secure the 124-121 win in Dallas. Other underdog wins on Monday night included the New Orleans Pelicans (+3) beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-100 and the Orlando Magic (+4) defeating the Chicago Bulls 100-91.
Massive upsets in college hoops
Down goes Texas! Down goes UNC! It was upset after upset in college basketball last night, as Texas Tech (+4) beat #6 Texas 74-67 and #15 Miami (+6) beat UNC 80-72. We’re still a few weeks away from March Madness, but the underdogs are already running wild.

The New Jersey Devils continue their four-game road trip on Tuesday when they play the Columbus Blue Jackets. When looking at these two teams, they are on opposite ends of the spectrum. The Devils are in 2nd place in the Metropolitan Division with 73 points, while the Blue Jackets are not only in last place in the Metropolitan Division but in the entire Eastern Conference. The Blue Jackets just aren’t on that level defensively, as they rank 22nd in expected goals against and 25th in goals allowed per game since late January. Look for the Devils to dominate.
