Friday’s NHL slate features just 3 games as we head into the first weekend after the All-Star break, but that’s just to get us prepared for a huge Saturday and Sunday ahead. Fewer games may seem like fewer opportunities, but we have some great matchup situations. Specifically, we have fantastic matchups for individual skaters to thrive, and we’ve provided you with our best NHL prop bet picks.
Along with our best NHL player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today’s action.
Artemi Panarin over 1.5 points (+130)
Odds available at time of publishing. Playable to +110.
The first of our NHL prop bet picks is focused on one of the first two puck-drops, which takes place in Chicago with the New York Rangers visiting the Blackhawks. The Rangers got off to an incredible first half of the season, but the narrative heading into All-Star Weekend was their 3-7-2 record down the stretch. However, they got right back on track with a big win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Now, they face a Blackhawks team with the worst record in the Western Conference.
That’s primarily due to Connor Bedard being injured and the team allowing the 5th-most goals per game. That’s where Artemi Panarin comes in, who continues to be a beast when it comes to recording points. His 67 through 51 games is top 10 in the NHL, and he’s owned Chicago specifically. In each of his last 5 games against them, he’s recorded multiple points and 14 in total. That includes a game just over a month ago, so the most confident of our NHL prop bet picks is for Artemi Panarin to record 2 or more points.
Leon Draisaitl over 0.5 goals (+110)
Odds available at time of publishing. Playable to -110.
Another superstar is Leon Draisaitl, who often gets overshadowed by Connor McDavid. That’s just fine by us, as it can sometimes provide more value in the betting markets. Similarly, the Edmonton Oilers being on the road helps with the price, but with them facing the Anaheim Ducks, we aren’t concerned with that. We also expect Draisaitl and company to come out fired up, as they were unable to tie the NHL record with their 17th straight win.
The All-Star Weekend killed their momentum, but regardless, Draisaitl has thrived against the Ducks. That’s no surprise, as Anaheim has been among the worst goaltending teams the past few seasons. Draisaitl has scored a goal in back-to-back games against Anaheim and in 8 of his last 10 games against them. Furthermore, it’s been 12 total goals in that 10-game span and a hat trick. With all that in mind, we’re adding to our NHL prop bet picks with Leon Draisaitl to score a goal.
