We are now at crunch time in the 2nd round of the NBA Playoffs as 3 series have gone at least 6 games for a spot in the conference finals. We just saw the Timberwolves and Nuggets take their series to a Game 7 — will we see the same tonight with the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers? You can find out our NBA picks on the side and total for that matchup, but for now, let’s get into my best NBA player prop bet for Game 6 between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers on Friday, May 17. This season, I am 61-42 for a +13.7% ROI on the season with player props in this article series. Let’s keep that momentum going!

The New York Knicks look to close out their 2nd-round series on the road and will remain shorthanded as OG Anunoby has been ruled out once again. That means Jalen Brunson and Donte DiVincenzo will remain the top 2 options on offense for New York. In the 3 games without Anunoby, DiVincenzo has at least 6 field-goal attempts in each first quarter and has now played at least 10 first-quarter minutes in 6 straight games.
Overall as a starter with Julius Randle and Anunoby both out and Brunson active, DiVincenzo averages 5.8 points per 10 minutes in the first quarter. We are betting on regression to the mean with efficiency here since DiVincenzo should once again get the opportunity and volume to clear this line as most of the Pacers’ defensive attention will be focused on Jalen Brunson. This line is playable up to -125 price but not playable at a 5.5 line.
