We are really getting down to the nitty gritty with only 5 days left in the regular season of NBA. The bottom of the Western Conference is separated by ~2ish games from 5 through 10 seeds. The Eastern conference is more defined 1 through 7, but Atlanta and Toronto can still flip flop the 8 and 9 seeds. All eyes will be on the Mavericks tonight as Shams Charania tweeted earlier in the week that the Mavericks could shut the season down to keep their top-10 protected pick. Kyrie and Luka are currently on the injury report listed as “probable”. Let’s dive into tonight’s player props.

Zach LaVine (CHI) under 26.5 points (-115)

LaVine is averaging 25 PPG on the season and 20 PPG vs the Bucks this year. The Bulls have clinched their play-in spot, so the urgency has been scaled back a bit and Chicago would need a lot of luck to grab that 9th spot. For me, this number is just too high for LaVine who has only hit it in one of his last 5 games and failed to do so against Milwaukee in 3 starts this year. LaVine is also averaging only 22 PPG on back-to-backs and hit this in only 40% of road games this year. Milwaukee allows the 9th fewest 3PM over the L10 and 3rd fewest FTA in that same span. 1U

Luka Doncic (DAL) over 8.5 rebounds (+108)

The Mavericks are at a fork in the road on the season, but if Luka plays, I expect this to be a no-brainer. Luka had 9 rebounds vs SAC earlier in the season and is averaging 14 rebound chances per game over the L10 (leads the team). The Kings are 17th in rebound percentage and 9th in FGA over the L10, so Luka should be primed for a lot of rebounding opportunities tonight. He’s hit this in 4 of the L7 since returning from injury and the Mavericks season hangs in the balance. 1U

OG is back to being a staple of this Raptors team after a seasoned marred by trade rumors. He’s averaging 34 MPG over the L10 and nearly 8 rebound chances.
