Week 8 of the 2024 NFL regular season is on the immediate horizon and it will begin with Thursday Night Football between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams. Minnesota will be looking to bounce back from its first loss of the season, leaving none other than the 2-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs as the only remaining undefeated team. Kansas City should not have too much trouble staying perfect; it is a 10-point road favorite against the Las Vegas Raiders. One of the more intriguing contests – even though neither side has a good record – pits the Dallas Cowboys against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football.

Best bet for NFL Week 8: Green Bay Packers -4.5 over Jacksonville Jaguars (-105)

The Jaguars actually won a game this past Sunday, but they are still a team you have to absolutely love fading. Head coach Doug Pederson’s squad is 2-5 and its only victories have come against New England (arguably the second-worst team in the NFL) and Indianapolis (a solid but unspectacular opponent).

At the other end of the standings is Green Bay, which is 5-2 and has won 5 of its last 6 contests. The Packers have played only 2 road games this season and have won both of them, so I’m not to worried that they have to pay a visit to Jacksonville this coming weekend. Head coach Matt LaFleur’s club has a ton of momentum after scoring a huge win over the Texans in Week 7, so there is no reason to think it will slow down against a much friendlier opponent.

We’ll have NFL Week 8 picks for every game!
