Week 5 of the 2024 NFL regular season is on the immediate horizon, and it’s the first this year in which teams have a bye. The Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Chargers are all off. However, there is a lot to like about the lineup. All 3 primetime matchups are intriguing (Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys vs Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints vs Kansas City Chiefs) and the London Series kicks off with the undefeated Minnesota Vikings facing Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.

Best bet for NFL Week 5: Washington Commanders -3.5 over Cleveland Browns (-110)
You probably don’t even need my advice to understand that Washington is the obvious play in this situation. Perhaps more valuable advice is to jump on it right now, because this line is likely going to move in the favorite’s direction.
Nobody was forecasting this before the season started, but the Commanders are an absolute wagon. Jayden Daniels is setting the league on fire in the early stages of his rookie campaign, a la CJ Stroud of the Houston Texans in 2023. Daniels (897 passing yards, 218 rushing yards, 7 total touchdowns) has his team at 3-1 and riding a 3-game winning streak. At the other end of the spectrum is Deshaun Watson, who appears to be washed up and the recipient of what is arguably the worst contract in all of sports. The Browns are 1-3 and on the fast track to nowhere.
Anything other than a comfortable win or the Commanders would be a big surprise.
