We are now well into December and the playoff ramifications are ramping up in the NFL. Week 16 of the 2024 season is on the immediate horizon, and – needless to say – it’s a big one. It will waste no time getting started with a bang, too, as Thursday Night Football is a huge AFC West showdown between the Broncos and Chargers. Also on the menu this coming week is Texans vs Chiefs, Steelers vs Ravens, Eagles vs Commanders and Vikings vs Seahawks.

Best bet for NFL Week 16: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -4 over Dallas Cowboys (-110)
It is true that the Cowboys have turned things around with a 3-1 record, but don’t forget that the Bucs are also red hot. Once left for dead in the NFC South amidst a flurry of injuries, Tampa Bay is atop the division thanks to a 4-game winning streak that includes a 40-17 beatdown of the host Chargers on Sunday.
3 of the Bucs’ 4 recent victories have come on the road, too, so it’s not like playing another game away from home is some kind of big disadvantage. Moreover, Dallas has been historically bad at home dating back to last season’s playoff loss to Green Bay. Head coach Mike McCarthy’s club has lost consistently – and often by wide margins – inside Jerry World in 2024, at least when it is facing someone other than the lowly Giants. Don’t be surprised if the Bucs win big on Sunday Night Football.
