Best bet for NFL Week 14: Jacksonville Jaguars +4.5 over Tennessee Titans (-110)
I wasn’t expecting the Jaguars to be my favorite play of any week at this point in the season, but here we are… Facing the lowly Titans and getting more than 4 points is simply an opportunity that feels too good to pass up. Tennessee is horrible. It is 3-9 overall, and since its Week 5 bye it is 2-6 with 5 double-digit losses. Head coach Brian Callahan’s club is coming off a hopeless 42-19 loss to the Washington Commanders in which it trailed 28-0 early in the second quarter.
It is true that Jacksonville (2-10) also isn’t any good and will likely be without starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Of course, given how poor Lawrence has been this season, it’s not like Mac Jones is a massive downgrade. Jones replaced Lawrence following the QB1’s concussion on Sunday and threw for 235 yards during a respectable 23-20 loss to a Houston Texans team that is well on its way to the AFC South title. At worst, the Jags should keep this within a field goal.
