Best bet for Super Wild Card Weekend: Washington Commanders +3.5 over Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-110)

Tampa Bay won the NFC South despite getting swept by the Atlanta Falcons, benefiting from Atlanta’s second-half collapse combined with its own hot streak. Despite their 6-1 record in the last 7 games, I don’t have much faith in the Buccaneers. They own just 1 win over a playoff opponent (the Los Angeles Chargers) during this stretch and their loss came to the lowly Dallas Cowboys. Fighting for the division title in Week 18, Tampa Bay messed around with a terrible New Orleans Saints squad basically the entire way in a too-close-for-comfort victory in front of their home crowd.

Washington lost at Tampa Bay in Week 1, but this is an entirely different team 4 months later. Jayden Daniels has emerged as one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in football and has led the Commanders to 5 consecutive victories, including 1 over NFC East champion Philadelphia. Their 12-5 record is especially impressive when you consider that 4 of their losses have come to playoff teams. There is no way I’m giving Daniels and company more than a field goal; they might even win this one outright.

We’ll have NFL picks for every game!
