Best bet for the Divisional Round: Philadelphia Eagles -5.5 over Los Angeles Rams (-110)
The Rams are a nice story, having overcome a rough week with the fire disaster raging in Los Angeles to wallop the 14-3 Minnesota Vikings 27-9 on Monday night. Unfortunately for them, this is likely where the run ends. They dealt with unexpected travel in the first round – with the Wild Card game moved from LA to Glendale, Arizona – and now they are playing on a short week (Monday night to Sunday afternoon, whereas Philadelphia is on normal rest).
I think it all catches up with the Rams in the Divisional Round, especially with the Eagles on fire. Philly is 13-1 in its last 14 games after easing past the Green Bay Packers 22-10 this past Sunday. 10 of the Eagles’ 13 victories during this stretch have come by at least 6 points and all 13 have come by more than a field goal. They destroyed the Rams 37-20 in Week 12 of the regular season, and that was on the road. All signs point to Saquon Barkley and company taking care of business by at least a touchdown.
