NBA Wednesday parlay at mega (+829 odds) today 11/23: Kings can't be dethroned

Sacramento Kings forward Domantas Sabonis (10) celebrates with guard De'Aaron Fox (5) against the Detroit Pistons during the fourth quarter at Golden 1 Center.

Interesting matchups across the league include the Mavericks shipping up to Boston, the Bulls heading to Milwaukee, and the Clippers heading to the Bay to face the Warriors. Head over to our NBA predictions page for picks on the spread and total for every game on the board, but for now, let’s jump into our NBA mega parlay.

Dallas Mavericks ML (+155) over Boston Celtics

It might finally happen — Jayson Tatum could miss a game. The Celtics superstar has not missed a game yet this season, and he is questionable for this matchup with an ankle injury. It might not be a bad idea considering the Celtics play 3 games in 4 days starting on Friday. Even if Tatum does play, it might be hard for them to stop Luka Doncic and the Mavericks. Doncic is averaging 36.9 ppg on 49.4% from the field, and he could fare well against a Boston defense that has not been as good on defense as last season.

The key to this game will be Dallas’ defense on the perimeter, as they have allowed the fewest field goals and the 2nd-fewest 3-pointers in the league. Since Boston ranks 1st in 3-pointers made and 2nd in 3-pointers attempted, they tend to live and die from the perimeter. Dallas has the potential to upset Boston on Wednesday, so I like them on the money line.

Dallas Mavericks vs Boston Celtics over 218 (-110)

I’m staying with the same game for the second leg of this parlay and taking the over between two excellent offenses. Even if Tatum sits, which is questionable, the Celtics are more than capable of scoring 110 points or more because of the depth in their bench. Boston is averaging 124.1 ppg at home, which ranks 1st in the league, so playing at TD Garden does give them an offensive advantage. And in their last few games, they have been on fire as they rank 2nd in offensive rating and EFG% while averaging 121.7 ppg.

As for the Mavericks, the duo of Doncic and Christian Wood has been excellent. Wood should thrive against the Boston interior as Rob Williams is still sidelined, so Al Horford will have the tough task of defending the young center. These teams rank 1st and 6th in 3-pointers made, so expect a heavy amount of shots from the perimeter in a game that should go over the total.

Sacramento Kings +6.5 (-110) over Atlanta Hawks

I would consider taking the Kings on the money line, but because they played last night, their spread is the safer option. The Kings beat the Grizzlies 113-109 on Tuesday night behind a 32-point performance from De’Aaron Fox, and their offense has been far better than expected to start the season. In the last 10 games, Sacramento ranks 1st in offensive rating, 1st in EFG%, and 1st in TS%. I don’t expect the Kings to rest many players, if any, on Wednesday night, because of how close the Western Conference race is right now.

Atlanta has been up-and-down to start the season, and in the last 10 games, they rank 23rd on offense and 28th in EFG%. Clint Capela will have a tough matchup against Domantas Sabonis, and that gives Sacramento an advantage on the perimeter with Fox, Kevin Huerter, Harrison Barnes and more. I’ll grab the points with Sacramento in this one.
