The 77th NBA season is officially underway after last night’s action in both conferences. Today, we have a 12-game slate coming our way and it’s the perfect time to go for our first mega parlay of the season!

Chicago Bulls ML over Miami Heat (+220)
The Chicago Bulls face a tough challenge as they open their season on the road in Miami, a place they haven’t had much success at over the past few seasons. I am optimistic for tonight’s game though. This team has looked solid in preseason, finishing with a 3-1 record while beating the likes of Milwaukee, Toronto and Denver by an average of 19.3 points per game. Chicago’s biggest issue last season was their record against the best teams, where they had won just once in 15 attempts against the 4 best teams in their conference. Facing a Heat team they lost all 4 meetings against is a perfect opportunity to address that, so why not go for it tonight on the road where they have nothing to lose? Back DeMar DeRozan and co. to pull off the upset.

Phoenix Suns -4.5 over Dallas Mavericks (-110)
We continue our parlay in Phoenix where the Suns welcome the team that shockingly eliminated them from last season’s playoffs, the Dallas Mavericks. Not much has changed in the Valley this offseason roster-wise, it’s mostly the same team with a couple of important pieces like head coach Monty Williams and Deandre Ayton getting contract extensions. Dallas, on the other hand, has lost a big-time scorer in Jalen Brunson and hasn’t really signed anyone of that magnitude to compensate for his departure. This team relies solely on Luka Doncic to carry them and although that might work for long stretches this season, it’s a risky proposition if something bad were to happen to him. I’m expecting to see a motivated Suns team looking for revenge, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this were to end in a blowout win for the home team.

Portland Trail Blazers vs Sacramento Kings over 233.5 points (+205)
Wrapping up this mega parlay, we are in Sacramento where the Kings host Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers. This will be a battle between two teams that finished 26th and 30th in defensive rating last season, so it’s only natural to go for the points in this game. Judging by their recent head-to-head meetings, we could be in for one of those over-the-top, high-scoring regular-season NBA games. Their last 4 of 5 meetings all cashed on the over and finished with 246, 245, 242 and 258 points scored.
Neither team addressed their defensive woes in the offseason, especially Portland as they allowed 131 and 126 points in their last two outings against Golden State and Sacramento. This being their opening game of the season, I’m sure neither team will put too much focus on defending. Instead, they will want to put on a show for the fans in Sacramento so expect some fireworks offensively here. With the total going over in 7 of the last 10 meetings, I am confident that will be the case in Wednesday’s game as well.
