Giannis Antetokounmpo to score 40+ points (+230)

Just last night in the NBA, we had Donovan Mitchell score 71 points, Klay Thompson dropped 54, DeMar DeRozan had 44, LeBron James finished with 43, Joel Embiid put up 42 points and Luka Doncic score 39 points. With all these players making headlines, Giannis might feel a bit left out. Before he took the game off on Sunday against the same Wizards he will play tonight, the Greek Freak had consecutive games of 40+ points and 20+ rebounds. The rest should do him well here.

Washington is one of his favorite opponents, as he’s scored 30 or more points in 3 of the last 5 games against them, with all the inflated stat lines these past few days, I’m expecting that to go up to at least 40 here. He’s reached that number 3 times in his last 5 games, in his last 8 he’s averaging 34.6, while in 16 home games this season he’s at 34.1 on over 55% shooting from the field.

Giannis Antetokounmpo over 12.5 rebounds (-111)

The Wizards just gave up 14 offensive rebounds in the game against Milwaukee on Sunday, despite the fact Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday took the night off. That is very alarming ahead of tonight’s game if you are Wizards head coach Wes Unseld Jr. since Washington’s front line could be in a tough spot. Giannis has cleared this line 4 times in his last 5 games, plus in his last two, he’s recorded 42 boards combined against the Bulls and Timberwolves.

In terms of defensive efficiency, the Wizards are mediocre in most stats. Giannis has had 15, 18 and 15 boards in 3 of the last 4 against them. At 6.9 rebounds per game, Kristaps Porzingis leads Washington on the boards this season, which isn’t all that impressive for a 7-foot-3 player. Given that Giannis has the strength advantage, I’m expecting him to dominate down low tonight.

Jrue Holiday over 2.5 made threes (+134)

Holiday is the engine of this Bucks team and that is visible from their record in the 10 games he hasn’t played this season, they are 5-5 without him in the lineup. His three-point shooting could be vital to the outcome of tonight’s game, the Bucks have lacked an offensive spark besides Giannis for the past few games. Khris Middleton also remains out of the lineup, that’s an extra 15-17 shot attempts for the rest of the team to take.

Holiday is shooting the three-ball at 39.3% over his last 5 games, at home that number is at 40% in 14 games played. For the month of December, he averaged 2.7 threes made per game, the last time he laced them up he connected on 3 of 6 shots against Boston. Washington allows 37.3% of threes on the road this season, that’s the 8th worst mark in the entire NBA. Look for a Bucks bounce-back victory here and at least 20 points by Holiday, with 3 threes made.
