Easter Sunday brings us the final day of the NBA regular season. The Lakers are hoping for a potential slip-up by the Warriors in hopes of finishing as the 6th seed in the West, but they still need to do their part and beat the Utah Jazz. LA Lakers 1-10 win margin (+290)
I was actually pleasantly surprised by the Jazz last night as they beat the fully loaded Denver Nuggets in their final home game of the season. They also hung with the Lakers in their meeting earlier this week, so I’m expecting them to bring that same energy tonight at Crypto.com Arena as they try to ruin the Lakers’ plans one last time this season. The Jazz have twice beaten the Lakers by double digits already this year, while the Lakers won the meeting at Vivint Arena in OT on Tuesday night. The Lakers still need the win to finish at least 7th in the standings, and even the 5th seed isn’t out of the question, but a few more results would have to go their way, which isn’t all that realistic. Still, I expect the Lakers to be fully locked in and to get the job done. They’ve been able to win by more than 17 points just twice this season, which is the spread today. With nothing to lose, the Jazz can play without any pressure, so let’s hope they can keep this one fairly close until the very end.

LeBron James over 2.5 made threes (+114)
Just like in the win over Phoenix, the priority for LeBron James today is to get as much rest as possible without exerting himself too much. He has been settling for the three-point shot a lot lately, avoiding contact and not going to the free-throw line all that much. That’s very understandable for a 38-year old who has nothing left to prove in the regular season as entering the playoffs as healthy as possible is his main goal. LeBron has cleared the 3 threes made line in 3 consecutive games and I’d say there’s a pretty good chance he does so yet again against the Jazz reserves. He had 37 points against Utah earlier this week, and over the last 4 games he’s knocked down 3 threes 3 times. When it comes to road games, the Jazz rank only 21st in the NBA in opponent 3-point percentage, allowing 37.2% of shots to be made and that’s with their regular starters in the lineup. The reserves just beat Denver 118-114, but they allowed 15 threes in the win. Having played last night the Jazz could be a step slower on defense, especially on the perimeter. Count on James to deliver.
