Tuesday’s NBA slate brings us a couple of tasty matchups, highlighted by the Philadelphia 76ers looking for their 9th win in a row on the road in Washington. That game, along with two more, is part of Tuesday’s mega parlay which you can find below.
Be sure to check our NBA predictions for picks on the spread and total for Tuesday’s 10-game slate, but without wasting any more time, let’s jump straight into my parlay.
Philadelphia 76ers -4.5 (-108)
Toronto Raptors -5.5 (-106)
Houston Rockets ML (+810)
Parlay odds: +3305
Philadelphia 76ers -4.5 (-108)
The surging Sixers head to DC for a date with the Wizards, a team they’ve already beaten once on the road this season. Only the Brooklyn Nets are playing at a higher level than Philly right now. The Sixers are on a 8-game win streak, powered by a motivated Joel Embiid who is averaging almost 36 points per game in his last 10 outings. In his last 2 games he’s scored 35 and 44 points, and against a Wizards team that doesn’t really have a traditional center he could be in for a big night. James Harden has also played well, averaging 12,1 assists in his last 9. Against the Wizards in 2 games this season he’s at 13.5 assists, so expect the Philly shooters to get some open looks. All in all, I have the Sixers extending the win streak, they are 11-4 SU in the last 15 meetings and on a 7-1 ATS run in their last 8 games.
Toronto Raptors -5.5 (-106)
This is a great spot for the Toronto Raptors, who are facing the LA Clippers a night after LA played an overtime game at Detroit. The win cost the Clippers a ton of energy, they were down big with 3 minutes to go in the 4th, but they managed to rally and turn things around. Head coach Ty Lue is known for taking care of his stars, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they decided to rest multiple key players in this game, something that has already happened several times this season. The Raptors come back home following a successful mini 3-game road trip which saw them beat the Knicks and Cavs in their last 2 games. They are a solid home team at 10-6 SU this season, they also had a couple of days of extra rest which could be the difference in tonight’s game.
Houston Rockets ML (+810)
It wouldn’t be the first time this season that the Celtics lost as such big favorites at home. In fact if we look at their last 8 games, Boston has gone 3-5 SU, and during the stretch they’ve lost as 9.5, 10.5, 13, 4 and 2.5-point favorites. Against the Rockets they open as 14.5-point favorites, one of the biggest spreads we’ve seen all season. Houston comes into the game after a convincing win on the road against the Bulls last night. Kevin Porter Jr. dropped a season-high 36, he and his teammates will look to carry over the momentum to tonight’s game. Boston is on a 4-game win streak in head-to-head meetings, but prior to that the Rockets had won 5 in a row. All win streaks have to come to an end at some point, and after seeing Boston lose back-to-back games against the Orlando Magic not too long ago, I wouldn’t discount the Houston Rockets so easily in this game.
