The day all Brooklyn Nets fans have been waiting for is finally here as Kevin Durant makes his long-awaited return after injuring his knee in mid-January. The Nets face a tough opponent in the Miami Heat in what will be the 3rd clash between the teams this season.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm ET. Continue reading below to see my same game parlay. We also have predictions on the side and total for the rest of Thursday’s 7-game slate, so be sure to check those out as well.

Let’s get into the Heat vs Nets clash now!

Miami Heat 1-10 win margin (+200)

Bam Adebayo over 19.5 points (-118)

Seth Curry Over 2.5 made threes (-120)

Duncan Robinson over 11.5 points (-108)

Parlay odds: +1658

Miami Heat 1-10 win margin (+200)

With Kevin Durant back, people are expecting the Brooklyn Nets to instantly become a contender, but it doesn’t work that way in the NBA. The Miami Heat have been one of the most consistent teams on the road this season and they come into tonight’s game with a 21-13-1 road record against the spread. They’ve won 9 of their last 11 games overall and in their last 15 against the Nets on the road they’ve covered 10 times. Brooklyn has struggled at home for the majority of the season, with or without Durant, so I think it’ll be tough against a well-oiled machine like the Heat. In their last 7 games against Eastern Conference teams, Miami has won 6. The Nets could push them to the brink but I still see the Heat pulling this one out.

Bam Adebayo over 19.5 points (-118)

One of Brooklyn’s major weaknesses this season is their interior defense, and the Nets rank just 19th in the NBA when it comes to opponent points in the paint, allowing 47.3 per game. In their last 3 games that number is at 50 per game and in their loss at Toronto they gave up 56. Durant returning doesn’t fix that, so I’m expecting Bam to do some damage on the inside. He’s averaging 21 points per game over his last 10 games while shooting 54% from the field. In 2 games against the Nets this season he’s averaging 21.5 per game to go along with 11.5 rebounds. I’m expecting big things from him in this one.

Now check our Thursday NBA mega parlay (+1303 odds!)

Seth Curry over 2.5 made threes (-120)

Getting KD back will do wonders for all the rotation players the Nets have, as now opposing defenses will have to focus on a lot more than they have been. That leaves room for players such as Seth Curry to stand out. Since his arrival he’s shooting the 3-ball at 46.8% and averaging almost 18 points per game. Against the Heat in 2 games this season he’s shooting 46.2% from 3-point range. With him averaging 2.9 makes from downtown in February scoring 3 threes should be possible in this game. Miami ranks just 10th in the NBA in opponent 3-point percentage, allowing 34.4% makes, but in their last 3 games that’s has gone up to 36.9%, so look for Curry to take advantage.

Duncan Robinson over 11.5 points (-108)

Duncan Robinson is one of Miami’s wild cards, especially on nights when Jimmy Butler is struggling scoring-wise. In 2 games against the Nets this season he’s averaging 11.5 points per game while shooting 47.1% from the field and 46.7% from downtown. Last night at Milwaukee he finished with an impressive 5 3-pointers made and 15 points, covering for Butler’s 2-for-14 shooting effort. Brooklyn has been poor at defending the 3-point line over their last 3 games, allowing teams to make 41.4% of their attempts, that’s among the 5 worst teams in the NBA during that stretch. I think both Tyler Herro and Robinson will have solid shooting nights.
