With the Super Bowl taking center stage on Sunday, we have only 2 games in the NBA to wager on. The highlight is in Boston, where the Celtics will take on the upstart Grizzlies in a early afternoon showdown. Boston Celtics 1-10 win margin (+170) over Memphis Grizzlies
To start our 2-leg mega parlay, we’re going with the Celtics to win a close game over the Grizzlies. Boston is the best team in basketball by most metrics, and it’s no surprise given the Celtics’ play this season. They are 1st in net rating and boast a top-5 unit on both offense and defense. They are a well-oiled machine and the favorites to get back to the NBA Finals for a reason. On the other side, the Grizzlies were looking like the favorites in the Western Conference until a recent poor stretch brought them back down to earth. Memphis is currently the #2 seed in the West and has won just 3 of its last 10 games. With a number of teams hot on the Grizzlies’ heels, I expect them to put forth a strong effort in this one, but Boston should do just enough to win a competitive game at home.

Toronto Raptors 11-20 win margin (+220) over Detroit Pistons
The Raptors puzzled a lot of NBA fans and insiders by buying at the trade deadline instead of selling. However, despite their struggles, they are still talented and could ultimately be a formidable play-in team if their pieces coalesce. On the other hand, the Pistons have all sorts of problems. For starters, this Detroit defense is a massive issue — ranking nearly last in the league in defensive rating over the last few weeks. For the season, the Pistons’ defensive unit stands at 29th in defensive rating and they are also 3rd-worst in net rating as well. Furthermore, Detroit is just 7-21 on the road this season and that shouldn’t improve today. Back the Raptors to win comfortably and within this 11-20 margin in what should be a great spot to fade this awful Detroit team.
