Chicago Bulls ML over Cleveland Cavaliers (+150)
The Cavaliers woes continued with yet another defeat on Thursday night as they fell at Indiana 135-126. This team is usually known for its solid defense, but over the last 3 games, opponents are shooting 57.1% against them from three-point land. That should bode well for the Chicago Bulls, who are one of the better three-point shooting teams in the NBA. They are knocking down 40% of their attempts in the last 3 games, and Zach LaVine just had 5 of them last night en route to 43 points against the Detroit Pistons.
That was Chicago’s 5th win in 6 games, so momentum will be on their side in tonight’s game. They also have 5 wins in the last 7 meetings with the Cavs, plus in their last 5 games against East teams, they’ve successfully covered the spread as well.
Memphis Grizzlies -6 over New Orleans Pelicans (-110)
At 13-3 SU at home, the Grizzlies enter the game with a lot of momentum following their road win at Toronto. Ja Morant did his best John Stockton impression, dishing out a career-high 17 assists in that win, showing just how good the Grizzlies can be if he dedicates himself to getting his teammates involved. In his last game against the Pels, he had 23 points and 11 assists in just 28 minutes played, so there are clearly issues for New Orleans on defense when Ja gets it going.
Having Desmond Bane and Dillon Brooks both finally available will do wonders for the Grizzlies’ floor spacing as they attract so much attention. With 7 wins in their last 8 home games, it’s hard to imagine the Grizzlies losing here. The last 5 head-to-head meetings have been difficult for the Pels as they’ve gone just 1-4 SU/ATS during that stretch. No Brandon Ingram and potentially Larry Nance Jr. could hurt them here. The last time they played at FedEx Forum they lost by 21 points. Memphis also has the rest advantage here as this will be the 2nd night of a back-to-back for New Orleans.

Miami Heat ML over Utah Jazz (+126)
Both the Heat and Jazz lost last night, so whoever recovers from that game quicker will have the advantage tonight. Utah has fallen off significantly towards the end of the year, winning just 2 of their last 7 games. Those victories came against Detroit and Washington which isn’t exactly a feat worth bragging about. Miami’s road record has been on the rise lately as they just had a 4-game win streak snapped by the Denver Nuggets last night.
Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are finally healthy and playing, and they should penetrate the interior consistently tonight as Utah struggles to defend that area ever since Rudy Gobert decided to leave. Teams are scoring 58.7 points per game from the painted area against them, that’s music to the ears of Butler, who is known for relying heavily on paint scoring. Miami has other weapons too though, mainly their defense which ranks 7th in efficiency. They allow only 35% of made threes on the road this season (8th best in the NBA), if they manage to shut down the Jazz from distance, I really like their chances here.
