Milwaukee Bucks ML (+118) over Denver Nuggets

You don’t get to back the Bucks often as underdogs, but tonight’s game in Denver is exactly that with the Nuggets being favorites by 2.5 points. Ball Arena has been a tough place to play at for almost everyone, Nikola Jokic and co. are 30-6 SU this season which is only second to the Grizzlies who are 32-5 SU. That won’t discourage Giannis and his Bucks though, in fact I see it as a huge motivating factor for the Greek Freak to do well here. Fatigue shouldn’t be an issue for Milwaukee, they are playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back, however in last night’s win over Utah, none of the starters logged more than 29 minutes.

This team is a dominant 12-1 SU in their last 13 on the road, they’ve covered the spread in 4 of their last 6 and are a staggering 14-1 SU in their last 15 vs Western Conference opponents. Denver did hit a bit of a rough patch lately, covering the spread just 3 times in their last 9 games while winning just 4 of them. The first meeting of the season went Milwaukee’s way, and with a win tonight, the Bucks send out a clear message that they’re going for it all this year.

Phoenix Suns ML (-110) over Philadelphia 76ers

It hasn’t been a pleasant run for the Phoenix Suns this past week. They just lost at Sacramento last night, their 5th loss in 6 games and with the Warriors lurking just behind them in the standings they cannot afford another loss here. There is good news on the horizon as KD hopes to return to the lineup next week, and getting him back might be the decisive factor between making the postseason directly instead of having to deal with the play-in tournament. Tonight’s opponent, the Sixers, are pretty much safe in 3rd place in the East, they are also playing their 2nd game in 2 nights after losing to the Warriors on the road yesterday.

Joel Embiid did his best with 46 points, however, without James Harden, the 76ers are just not the same team. There’s a solid chance the Beard misses another game as he’s dealing with an Achilles injury and the team would be foolish to risk further injury by playing him here. Neither team is in a good state here, but with the Suns dominating this matchup with 6 wins in the last 7 played, I have them winning this one at home.

New Orleans Pelicans ML (+172) over Los Angeles Clippers

And to further complicate things out West and to increase the odds of our parlay, I have the New Orleans Pelicans beating the shorthanded LA Clippers tonight at crypto.com Arena. Losing Paul George rallied the troops for head coach Ty Lue in their last game as the Clippers beat Oklahoma City, but now that the dust has settled, they might run into issues moving forward. The Pelicans could be a problematic matchup, especially if we see Russell Westbrook play extended minutes once again. They’ve won 3 games in a row, granted it wasn’t the hardest of schedules, but they all count the same. Brandon Ingram and C.J. McCollum are scoring at a high level, the Pels have dominated this matchup winning 7 of the last 8 meetings and covering the spread in 8 of the last 9 played.

The Clippers got really hot from three in their last game connecting on 18 of them, but I still think they lack consistency in that are as they’ve scored just 6 of them three times over their last 7 games. You have to be really sharp on offense to beat this Pelicans side, other than Kawhi Leonard, I don’t think the Clippers have enough to win this one. I’ll be backing the underdog Pelicans here.
