Kevin Durant to score 30+ points (+230)
Usually when a player sits out almost 2 months due to a knee injury we see a decline in his production, but not Kevin Durant. KD has made an instant impact in the 2 games he’s played with the Suns following a successful recovery from an MCL sprain. He shot a combined 17-for-25 from the field (68%) against the Hornets and Bulls, while also making 50% of his 3-point attempts. Durant doesn’t mind deferring to Devin Booker at times, but as time goes on I believe he will become the focal point of the offense as he’s just a much more efficient offensive player than Booker. Playing against his former teammate Kyrie Irving, KD will want to show him that Kyrie requesting a trade from the Nets was a mistake. One of the players Dallas traded away to acquire Kyrie was Dorian Finney-Smith, quite possibly their best one-on-one defender, who they would have put on KD in this game if they still had him. With him out of the picture, I don’t think there’s anyone on this roster that can match the size and agility of Durant, so I think he’s in for a productive game.

Kyrie Irving to score 30+ points (+200)
Although Kyrie Irving has not adjusted as well to his new team as KD has, he is still a dangerous player for opposing offenses — just ask the Philadelphia 76ers. Kyrie dropped 40 points against them in his last game, shooting over 68% from the field and an unreal 75% from three. He has already had a 30-point game against the Suns this season, and that was the second time in the last 3 meetings he’s cleared this line while averaging 28.8 points per game in the last 6 against them. High-scoring games are almost a given since the Mavs have traded for Kyrie, and their defense is suffering, but thankfully they have enough offensive firepower in Irving and Luka Doncic to match almost anyone in the NBA. With 241 points scored the last time these teams met in Dallas, I think we’re in for another high-scoring game today and Irving will have to show up if the Mavs are to get the win. Look for him to try to match whatever Durant puts up.
