There are very few things in sports that can get you excited as a Game 7. We have two of the biggest Eastern Conference rivals going at it on Sunday at TD Garden, with a spot in the conference finals at stake. It’s an early tip-off at 3:30 pm ET on ABC, and I’ve prepared a Same Game Parlay which you can find below.
I cashed SGP bets on Wednesday and Friday, so let’s keep the hot streak going! Let’s dive into my bet now.

Boston Celtics 1-10 win margin (+170)
What a disappointing performance it was by the 76ers in Game 6 as they scored their 2nd-lowest point total of the season, losing 95-86 at home. James Harden was nowhere to be found and he finished the game shooting 4-for-16 from the field while failing to make a 3-pointer in 6 attempts. As a team Philly shot just 36% from the field and 23% from three. After watching that meltdown on Thursday I am just not feeling the Sixers right now. Jayson Tatum started off poorly again, hitting just 1 of his first 14 field-goal attempts entering the final 12 minutes of play, but as great players do he came up big in the clutch, scoring 3 buckets in a row late in the 4th quarter to put the game to bed. That was Boston’s 8th win in the last 9 games when facing elimination against Philadelphia and now they just have to finish off the job at home. Losing at home on Thursday is such a devastating blow for Philly that their confidence is probably shaken. I see the Celtics advancing, so I’ll back them to get carried by the home crowd in a close game.

Joel Embiid to score 30+ points (-145)
If there was ever a game to back the MVP to do well, this is the one. A lot was said about Joel Embiid and his performance in Game 6. Overall it wasn’t a bad game by the big fella, but the fact that he didn’t even touch the ball once over the last 4 minutes is one of the main reasons why the Sixers came up short. The good news is he has one more attempt to make amends and I’m expecting him to show up. Prior to Game 6 he was on a run of 3 consecutive games with 30 or more points against the Celtics, although he hadn’t shot 50% in either of those games. During the regular season he dominated Boston, averaging 36.8 points per game in 4 meetings, and it’s time we saw some of that in the playoffs. So far his postseason high is only 34 points, and in order for the Sixers to advance he will need to eclipse that and I’m sure head coach Doc Rivers has a lot of faith in him. He has dropped at least 30 points in 2 of his last 4 elimination games.
Jaylen Brown to score 25+ points (+110)
A lot has been said about the performances of Jaylen Brown in this series, but after making the All-NBA 2nd team a couple of days ago, he is now eligible for the super-max contract extension. The rest of his performances in this postseason run can be looked at as sort of a referendum on whether or not the Celtics will offer him the full 5-year deal worth $295m. Doing well in a Game 7 would certainly help his case and with Jayson Tatum starting off slowly in the past few games I am more inclined to trust Brown in this game. He’s averaging 24.6 points per game in the postseason, and prior to Game 6. which he finished with just 17 points. he had scored in the 23-25 point range in all 5 games of this series. He’s shooting 55.6% from the field and almost 42% from three while also giving the Celtics stellar defense on James Harden. This is the time for Brown to shine, so let’s hope he produces a big game for Boston on Sunday.

Al Horford 1+ made threes (-950)
As we saw with Kyle Lowry, who had 9 assists in Game 6 of Knicks vs Heat, experience plays a massive part when you’re trying to close out a series. Nobody has more of that than Al Horford on either team in this series and that should show in Sunday’s game. Although he’s had just 2 points over the past 2 games, Horford has done a lot of the dirty work against Embiid down low, so he’s making an impact on the game despite the lack of scoring. Role players generally play better at home, so I’m expecting a bounce-back performance offensively. Luring Embiid outside towards the perimeter would be a good idea and Horford does have the ability to knock down threes. He has made at least 2 threes in 6 of 12 games in this postseason run. Boston drained 15 threes in the Game 6 victory, if they can pull off a similar effort on Sunday they will be in a good spot.
