The NBA week continues with a 3-game slate on Thursday. It’s not a big one, but it’s enough to work with as we try to come up with a victorious mega parlay. The Brooklyn Nets are paying a visit to the Portland Trail Blazers, the Sacramento Kings are hosting the San Antonio Spurs and the schedule wraps up with a showdown in L.A. between the Los Angeles Clippers and Detroit Pistons.
Here is a look at today’s mega parlay.
Trail Blazers -6 alternate spread (+160)
Kings -7 (-110)
Pistons vs Clippers Over 217 (-110)
Parlay odds: +848
For this 3-leg parlay we are going with 1 favorite against the spread, 1 favorite against an alternate spread and an over play. Let’s break down each of the 3.

Portland Trail Blazers -6 alternate spread over Brooklyn Nets (+160)
The Nets are 6-9 and they are every bit as bad as that record suggests – if not worse. Brooklyn just allowed a laughable 153 points in a loss to Sacramento earlier this week. Kevin Durant is trying to settle things down for the Nets, but with the Kyrie Irving drama and Ben Simmons still not much of a factor, it is hard to see how this team wins basketball games – at least of any decent opposition.
Meanwhile, Portland has been a pleasant surprise so far in 2022-23. The Trail Blazers are leading the Northwest Division thanks to a trio of 20+ ppg scorers in Damian Lillard, Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant. It continues to be absurd how much respect the Nets are getting from the market. They aren’t good; not at the moment, anyway. Don’t be surprised if the Blazers win this one big.

Sacramento Kings -7 over San Antonio Spurs (-110)
As mentioned above, Sacramento just pinned 153 points on Brooklyn. The Kings’ high-scoring offense has been awesome not only over their past 5 games but also throughout the entire season, and they will look to stay hot at home against the Spurs. San Antonio is 1 of the weaker opponents they have faced over the past 2 weeks, so this could be a routine night at the office. Sacramento ranks both 2nd in points per game and offensive rating, only behind Boston in both categories. The Kings will be up against arguably the league’s worst defense on Thursday, as San Antonio ranks dead last in opponent points per game and 29th in defensive rating. Don’t be surprised if this is a beatdown.

Detroit Pistons vs Los Angeles Clippers Over 217 (-110)
The Pistons are without Isaiah Stewart for their 6-game road trip that begins on Thursday in Los Angeles. That doesn’t help them offensively, of course, but it also hurts on the defensive end. This is already a team that has allowed 128, 121, 117 and 115 points in its last 4 games – all losses. If the Clippers simply score on the low end of that average, the Pistons themselves won’t even have to post 100 points, to take this contest over a modest 217 total. LA has injury problems of its own and will be missing one of the best defensive players in the league in Kawhi Leonard.
