I'm an NFL handicapper here at Pickswise who was raised in a household full of sports fanatics. Since I unfortunately never had LeBron James' jumping ability I wasn't able to make it to the NBA, and chose writing about sports as the next best thing. An avid sports bettor myself, I'm excited to get to write about the industry as it gets set to take off across the country. Buckle up. Well, it’s finally back. The 2021-22 NBA season will officially get underway on Tuesday night with an excellent doubleheader. Bucks/Nets will start things off in the early slot, and then the nightcap will be this Western Conference clash as the Los Angeles Lakers host the Golden State Warriors. What better way to make Opening Night even more exciting than by betting a same game parlay? We also have thoughts on the side and total for both games, of course, which you can view in our NBA picks tab.

But for now, let’s dive into this same game parlay:

Golden State Warriors ML (+136)

Stephen Curry to record 6+ assists (+120)

Draymond Green to record 10+ rebounds (+410)

Same Game Parlay odds: +1973

We have a 3-leg same game parlay which pays out just shy of 20/1 with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s break it down:

Golden State Warriors ML (+136)

To start this same game parlay off we have the Warriors on the money line. For starters, I’m a little skeptical of how this Lakers team will look, especially early on. The pieces they’ve added don’t all seem like the right matches, and the concerns about spacing on offense are very real. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like the amount of turnover Los Angeles’ roster saw this offseason. LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Wesley Matthews are the only three current players who were on last year’s team.

Everybody else is new. That’s just crazy. Even with an all-time duo of James and Davis, that’s a lot of moving parts to mix in. I’m not expecting it to look so smooth right away. Things may look a bit clunky at first. The Warriors have revenge on their mind here after the Lakers dominated their last two meetings last season. They also got embarrassed in their opener last year, so they’ll be eager not to start off on the wrong foot again. Expectations are high for Golden State this season, and I believe they will come out and make a statement here in their season debut.

Stephen Curry to record 6+ assists (+120)

I think this correlates nicely with the first leg of our same game parlay. If the Warriors are winning, it’s going to be because Curry is in full control of the game and his teammates are hitting their open looks. Last year, Curry averaged more than a full assist more per game in wins than in losses. He recorded seven assists in two of his three games against the Lakers last year, despite two of those games being blowouts where he played 26 minutes or fewer. Curry got to at least six assists in six of his last nine games to end last season, and now has a better supporting cast around him. Getting plus-money here is a steal.

Draymond Green to record 10+ rebounds (+410)

To round this same game parlay out, we’ve got this Green rebound prop. I can’t believe this is being offered at greater than 4/1. To be profitable at +410, a bet only has to cash 19.6 percent of the time. Green started last year slow, but he finished the season playing very well. He recorded double-digit rebounds in nine of his 17 final games, so oddsmakers treating this as some sort of huge longshot is strange to me. This also correlates with the first two legs of our same game parlay, since Green averaged 1.8 more rebounds per game in wins than losses last year. All we need to cash this same game parlay is one great game from the Warriors, and we’re getting nearly 20/1 on that. Sign me up.
