New York Knicks -7.5 (-112) over Minnesota Timberwolves
Things have gone south for the Timberwolves recently. They have lost 5 of their last 6 games, chemistry has been at an all-time low and now two of their best players are hurt. Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert have been nursing injuries and are both questionable for Monday night, along with Austin Rivers, Jaylen Nowell and Naz Reid. If Minnesota is without a few of those players, this losing streak could very well continue. The Timberwolves have struggled to create shots since trading away D’Angelo Russell. That has led to Edwards taking charge on most possessions and shooting 20 or more shots per game. And unfortunately for them, they face a New York team that has Jalen Brunson back and who just knocked off the Western Conference-leading Denver Nuggets. These teams are moving in different directions, so the Knicks shouldn’t have a problem winning big tonight.
Houston Rockets +9.5 (-112) over Golden State Warriors
This is purely a numbers play. The Warriors have had a far more successful season than the Rockets, but for some reason, Golden State cannot win on the road. They are 29-7 and 24-11-1 ATS at home which is normal to see from the Warriors. But on the road, Golden State is 7-29 and 9-27 ATS. This is the fourth game of Golden State’s road trip, and as you might have guessed, the Warriors are 0-3 so far. That includes losses to the Clippers, Hawks and Grizzlies while allowing an average of 131.3 points per game.
While Houston has not been the best team in the league this year, the Rockets have not listed anyone on the injured list for Monday’s game and have actually been playing well recently. They are 3-1 in their last 4 games with wins over the Pelicans, Warriors and Celtics. Houston has a better net rating in the last 5 games than the Warriors, so I’m taking a shot with the Rockets to keep this game close.

Sacramento Kings win by 11+ (+170) over Utah Jazz
The Kings continue their road trip with a visit to Salt Lake City to take on the Jazz. However, it could be a very different-looking Jazz team on Monday night due to injuries. Jordan Clarkson has already been ruled out and Lauri Markkanen is questionable with a back injury. Utah has been without Clarkson for 5 games now, and his shot-making abilities have been dearly missed, which has put a lot of pressure onto Markkanen’s shoulders. And while Markkanen has been playing well, if he cannot suit up on Monday night, the Jazz will be without two of their best playmakers.
Utah will be welcoming in Sacramento, who has been red-hot since the all-star break. The Kings are 11-2 since the break while covering the spread in 10 of their 13 games. They are also 7-0 ATS in their last 7 road games, so I’ll back the hotter and more complete team and take the Kings to win by 11 or more points.
