The 2023 NBA calendar has got off to an exciting start, and we should have more thrilling action on Monday. The highlight is in Sacramento, where the Kings take on the Grizzlies. We’ll be focusing on that game in this mega parlay, as well as 2 others that should feature plenty of excitement. Minnesota Timberwolves -5.5 over Houston Rockets (-110)

Things haven’t exactly gone according to plan for the Timberwolves this season. However, Minnesota is 7-3 over its last 10 games and is playing its best basketball of the campaign in recent weeks. Even without Rudy Gobert in the middle, the Timberwolves are still winning games thanks to the strong play of Anthony Edwards and solid contributions from their bench unit. Earlier this week, Minnesota knocked off the Raptors and Rockets at home, and I expect that to translate well to this road trip.

On the other side, the Rockets have been one of the worst teams in basketball from the start of the campaign, and that has certainly reared its ugly head on the defensive end. Houston is ranked 29th in the league in defensive rating, which should be a ray of hope for Minnesota’s inconsistent offense. To make matters worse for Houston, the Rockets’ defense has been absolutely abysmal against playoff-caliber teams, so don’t expect a stellar effort here. Even at home, I don’t see any way that Houston keeps this game within a couple of possessions. Take Minnesota in what should be a smash spot against an inferior opponent.

Sacramento Kings ML (+105) over Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies have been one of basketball’s best teams all season long, especially at home. Memphis is 20-3 at the FedEx Forum this season, which is where most of the Grizzlies’ recent 11-game winning streak took place. However, this team isn’t quite the same away from home, sitting at 11-11 on the season. And while Memphis has won 11 of 12 and only trails Denver in the Western Conference standings, the Kings have quietly been just as hot.

Sacramento is the #3 seed in the West and is executing at a very high level, sitting at #2 in offensive rating this season. The Kings are 3rd in true shooting and effective field goal percentage on the year, which should carry over into this game against a stout Memphis defense. With the Grizzlies playing the 2nd game of a back-to-back on the road, it’s hard not to like Sacramento here at plus-money odds.

Atlanta Hawks ML (-105) over Chicago Bulls

To round out our mega parlay, we’re going with the Atlanta Hawks on the money line. The Hawks have struggled mightily at various points this season, but this is still a dangerous team when they’re clicking. Fortunately for Atlanta, the last few weeks have seen the Hawks at their best. Atlanta is quietly 7-3 over its last 10 games, including wins over the Mavericks, Knicks, Pacers, Clippers and Kings. After a poor start, the Hawks’ offense has finally rounded into form and it’s carried over into road games, a noticeable change from earlier in the season.

On the other side, the Bulls are in decent form, but they’ll be just a couple of days removed from playing in Paris on Thursday. We could see Chicago come out a little sluggish at home, giving the Hawks a bit of value in this one.
