Milwaukee Bucks -4.5 alternate spread (+235)
Milwaukee has responded really well after a 4-game losing streak, with 2 wins in 3 games, including a 123-113 triumph over the Washington Wizards last night. This will be the second game in two nights for them, but I don’t think that will be too much of a problem. Giannis Antetokounmpo took the game off last Sunday against the Wizards, so he should be fresh and motivated tonight, especially after dropping 55 points in the win over Washington last night. That was his third straight game of over 40 points, and he’s playing at a completely different level than anyone else we’ll see taking the court at Scotiabank Arena. Toronto has been in a slump, winning just 3 of 12 games and covering the spread only 4 times. At home the Raptors are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games, so it’s an ideal opportunity for the Bucks to gain some momentum with a big road win.
Pascal Siakam to score 25+ points (-135)
Pascal Siakam has cleared this line in 3 of his last 4 games against the Bucks, scoring 27, 20, 33 and 30 points during that stretch. He’s been in great scoring form, averaging 29.2 points in his last 10 outings, on almost 49% from the field and 39% from three, both of which are improvements over his season averages. Khris Middleton not playing means one less matchup to worry about on defense, which should free him up to have a big game at the other end. Milwaukee’s inside defense has been a disaster over the past 3 games, allowing 63.3 points per game in the paint which is dead last in the NBA. Expect Siakam to attack the basket strongly, and at an 80% success rate from the free-throw line in his last 10 games he should be able to rack up the points.
