It’s an East vs West affair tonight in the NBA as the 2-3 Miami Heat continue their road trip and take on the 2-2 Golden State Warriors at Chase Center. Tipoff is set for 10:00 pm live on NBA TV, and I have prepared a same game parlay for the occasion.

Check out our NBA Predictions page for picks on part 1 of the NBA TV double-header between the Dallas Mavericks and Brooklyn Nets, as well as the 2 other games being played this evening.

Let’s dive in.

Miami Heat 1-10 win margin (+340)

Andrew Wiggins to score 20+ points (+146)

Parlay odds: +1050

Miami Heat 1-10 win margin over Golden State Warriors (+340)

The Warriors are somewhat unrealistic 7.5-point favorites heading into tonight’s game. They’ve been far from impressive in their opening four games of the season, especially on the defensive end where they allow an NBA high 124 points per game. In their latest loss at Phoenix they let in 134 in a 29-point defeat, which is concerning if you are head coach Steve Kerr. Other than Stephen Curry nobody else has excelled, and there are already questions whether the veterans should take a step back in order for younger players like Jordan Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody and James Wiseman get more minutes.

Miami, on the other hand, relies heavily on defense to win games. The Heat own the 7th-best opponent points per game record so far this season, allowing just 106.4 a night. They have also had their fair share of wins vs Western Conference teams dating back to last season, going an impressive 12-4 SU in their last 16 such games. The Warriors did win both meetings in the regular season last year and a team like Miami doesn’t forget that. The Heat should be extra motivated to get one back here. In the end, Miami’s elite defense should make the difference tonight.

Andrew Wiggins to score 20+ points (+146)

Andrew Wiggins just loves playing the Miami Heat for some reason. Since being traded to Golden State, he is averaging 21.6 points per game against them in 5 meetings while shooting almost 50% from the field and 42% from 3. He has gone over 20 points in all 4 previous games against them scoring 23, 23, 22 and 22 points. After 4 games played this season he is actually 2nd on the team in scoring only behind Curry with an average of 20.8 ppg. His shooting splits are basically the same as last year, which means the Warriors have a stable secondary scoring option even when Klay Thompson doesn’t have it going.

Curry has been the lone stable scoring threat for the Warriors through 4 games so far, but Miami held him to just 9 points on 3-for-17 shooting from the field when these two teams last met back in January. If that happens again tonight, Wiggins will have to step up and carry the load offensively.
