Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Portland Trail Blazers have incorporated Jerami Grant quickly into their team and have gotten off to a fast 5-1 start this season. Now with Damian Lillard expected to miss several weeks, the team’s depth will be tested. One of those tests will come tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies. Last season’s surprise team will be keen to start climbing the standings after getting 4 wins from their opening 7 outings. Let’s dive into our Memphis Grizzlies vs Portland Trail Blazers Same Game Parlay.

Jusuf Nurkic over 11.5 rebounds (+100)

Anfernee Simons over 24.5 points (-113)

Ja Morant to score 35+ points (+230)

Jusuf Nurkic over 11.5 rebounds (+100)

Jusuf Nurkic of the Portland Trail Blazers is currently on a rebounding roll. He grabbed 15 boards in his last game against the Houston Rockets. That marked the 4th time in 5 games in which he managed 12 or more. Tonight, he will be going up against a number of bigs who do not have the ability to space the floor in Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke. Adams is currently listed as day-to-day and may not be able to take to the floor. Clarke, on the other hand, gives up a major weight advantage to the Bosnian. That should allow Nurkic to establish a prime rebounding position and be effective in grabbing both offensive and defensive boards.

Anfernee Simons over 24.5 points (-113)

With Damian Lillard confirmed out for the game, it will be up to Anfernee Simons to become the offensive spark for the Trail Blazers. He was able to deliver last time against the Rockets, recording 30 points on 20 field-goal attempts. With the Grizzlies currently having the worst defensive rating in the league and allowing the most points to opponents, they could be the perfect opponent for the high-scoring guard. Last season he averaged 19.8 points on 13.3 attempts against them. With an uptick in usage, he should be able to clear the 25-point mark here. That is especially true with point guards Tyus Jones and Ja Morant ranking in the bottom 5 in defensive rating on the Grizzlies roster.

Ja Morant to score 35+ points (+230)

With the Grizzlies not able to get stops defensively this season, they have been relying on big performances from Ja Morant to bail them out. He has delivered so far, averaging 33.3 points per game. That includes scoring over 35 points in 2 of his last 3 games. Last year he averaged 30.5 points against the Trail Blazers on just 16 field goal attempts per game. With Desmond Bane questionable to play after missing their last outing, it could fall to Morant to put the Grizzlies on his back once more. Luckily for him, the Trail Blazers are 22nd in the league in opponent points in the paint and 19th in blocks. That should allow Morant to remain efficient here and play to his strengths. Do not be surprised to see another offensive outburst from the superstar.
