Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Memphis Grizzlies will be traveling to take on the Phoenix Suns live on ESPN on Friday night. The visitors have lost 2 straight games which has seen them relinquish the top spot of the Western Conference to the Denver Nuggets. A win on the road tonight could see them reclaim that spot. The Suns are not far out from the top spot themselves and will look to stake their claim too.

You can find our full NBA picks and predictions here but for now check out my same game parlay picks for this matchup tonight.

Memphis Grizzlies -2 (-110)

Chris Paul over 16.5 points (-113)

Chris Paul over 11.5 assists (-111)

Parlay odds: +685

Memphis Grizzlies -2 (-110)

The Phoenix Suns go into tonight’s game without the services of Devin Booker. The team is just 1-3 in his absence this season. With Cameron Payne also out for the Suns, their backcourt will be left very shorthanded tonight. Considering they have lost 6 of their last 10 games, they should struggle to turn the tide on their current form against a team ranked 5th in defensive rating this season. Ja Morant and his Memphis Grizzlies have covered the spread 8 times in the last 12 overall and they have 2 wins in a row against the Suns. With Steven Adams having the physical ability to stop Deandre Ayton when matched up 1-on-1 in the post, the Suns may not have enough weapons to stay in this game.

Take a look at our full game predictions for Memphis Grizzlies vs Phoenix Suns

Chris Paul Over 16.5 points (-113)

With a shorthanded backcourt, one man that will need to step up for the hosts in Chris Paul. The guard has been in good form of late, scoring 19.3 points per game over the last week. With Steven Adams not being the best center at moving his feat out on the perimeter, look for Paul to try and exploit him in pick-and-roll situations. It should allow him to get to his spots on the elbows to knock down his jumpers. The point guard could also be a threat from the perimeter here, as he is knocking down 42.2% of his 3-point attempts in December. With him also making at least 5 free-throws in each of his last 2 games, he has more than enough weapons in his arsenal to clear this over.

Friday’s NBA Mega Parlay has +611 odds!

Chris Paul Over 11.5 assists (-111)

Without Booker and Payne in the team, Paul should have more than enough ball handling responsibility tonight to get his assists in too. He has managed 11 or more in 2 of his last 4 games. On the season the Grizzlies are 26th in opponent assists per game and should prove to be a favorable opponent. The visitors will also likely be setting a fast tempo tonight, considering they are 4th in the league in pace. There should be no shortage of possessions for Paul to run plays as a result. As mentioned, the pick-and-roll with Ayton could be a very useful weapon tonight and if the Grizzlies start stepping up and trapping, Paul certainly has the ability to find the open man. Back him to put in a vintage performance.
