Bragging rights are on the line tonight in New Orleans as the Pelicans host the Memphis Grizzlies. Catch the game live from 7:30 pm ET as part of TNT’s double-header. I’ve also prepared a Same-Game Parlay to make things a bit more interesting.

Don’t forget to check our NBA Predictions page for picks on the side and total for tonight’s 5-game slate.

Let’s dive into the Grizzlies vs Pelicans match-up now.

Memphis Grizzlies ML (+140)

Ja Morant to Score 30+ Points (+124)

Dillon Brooks Over 2.5 Made Threes (-108)

Parlay odds: +623

Memphis Grizzlies ML (+140)

Memphis has been far more reliable than the Pelicans in the early going this season, despite being only 4-4 on the road. They are coming off a loss against Washington, in a game in which Ja Morant didn’t play. It’s a completely new team with him in the line-up, so I’m expecting him to get everyone involved here. Desmond Bane is going to miss tonight’s game, but the Grizz are getting back Jaren Jackson Jr. who finally makes his season debut following a foot injury. His presence should patch up a few things defensively and make life hard for the Pelicans slashers such as Zion Williamson (if he plays) and C.J. McCollum. Memphis has the edge in head-to-head meetings winning 4 of the last 5, they are also 6-1 SU in their last 7 vs Southwest Division opponents.

Ja Morant to Score 30+ Points (+124)

I’ve mentioned the absence of Bane for the Grizzlies, that’ll be a huge handicap for them as he averages the 2nd highest number of points per game on the team. The good news is Morant comes back after missing the game vs Washington, he leads the Grizzlies in scoring with 28.8 per game. He’s played better on the road than at home this season averaging 30 points on a whopping 54.2% shooting from the field and 45% from three-point land. He’s cleared the 30 point line twice in his last three games and with the added responsibility on offense don’t be surprised he takes 25 or more shots, something that’s happened in 3 of his last 4 games. Oh yeah, and this could also be the first meeting ever between the No. 1 and No.2 picks from the 2019 draft, Morant will definitely be motivated to make a statement here on national TV.

Today’s NBA Mega Parlay has +965 odds!

Dillon Brooks Over 2.5 Made Threes (-108)

Another player who will benefit from the absence of Bane is Dillon Brooks who is 2nd on the team in three-pointers made per game this season averaging 2.2 a night. Only Bane attempts more threes per game than Brooks, so expect the forward to get at least half of the 8.5 attempts Bane averages this season. Brooks has scored at least 3 threes in 2 of his last 3 games overall. He’s also enjoyed a really solid run against the Pelicans scoring 23 points in 3 straight and in 2 of the last 4 meetings he’s scored 3 threes. New Orleans is a bottom 10 team in the league when it comes to three-pointers allowed per game with opponents making 12.2 a night against them at Smoothie King Center. With McCollum being cold in November, he won’t have to spend as much time worrying about his scoring on defense, instead he can fully concentrate on making some threes, which is exactly what I’m expecting him to do here.
