Don’t look now, but the Lakers are heating up. After taking care of business at home against the defending champions over the weekend, LA now faces another contender in the Memphis Grizzlies. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 pm on TNT, and I’ve prepared a Same Game Parlay which you can find below.

LA Lakers 1 – 10 Win Margin (+185)
Memphis put up a valiant effort in their last game against the Clippers scoring 129 points, but even that wasn’t enough as they fell on the road by 6-points. Ja Morant will once again not be in the line-up, as his off-court saga continues. In 10 games without Ja the Grizz are just 4-6 SU, the only reason why they beat the Lakers in the game played a week ago was his 39 points.
Following their Sunday win over Golden State, the Lakers are now in a 3-way tie for the 9th seed in the West. Winning tonight’s game would be another step in the right direction. LA has gone 5-2 SU/ATS in their last 7 games overall, they’ve dominated this match-up at crypto.com Arena winning 5 of the last 6 games. Reinforcements could also be on the way as D’Angelo Russell has been upgraded to questionable as he recovers from an ankle injury. AD dropped 39 on Sunday vs Golden State, I can’t think of another reason why he won’t go for another 30+ points game here. I expect a close game, but let’s roll with the Lakers at home.

Anthony Davis to Score 30+ Points (+100)
Lakers fans are finally Davis playing at his full potential. He’s connected back to back games with 39 and 38 points, which means he’s now scored at least 30 in 3 straight. Until LeBron James returns to the line-up, he should be getting a steady diet on offense as the number one option. Despite averaging just 18.8% of made threes in his last 9 games he’s still putting up a respectable 25.6 points per game during that stretch.
Memphis is one of the better teams at defending the paint, but they’ve been on the downfall in terms of defending ever since Steven Adams went out of the line-up with an injury. I would have had doubts about AD here if Adams was playing, but without him Davis is basically a walking mismatch in this game for Memphis. In the last game played 7 days ago against the Grizz, AD went for 28 points and 19 rebounds, I’m expecting at least 30 points and 10 boards tonight as he leads his Lakers to another important win in their playoff hunt.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 19.5 Points (-120)
Jaren Jackson Jr. is one of the most productive players when Ja Morant doesn’t play, averaging 18.5 points in 6 games played this season. And he’s also doing it in just 29.6 minutes per game, that number should go up tonight with him playing over 30 minutes in 3 of his last 4 outings. Against the Clippers on Sunday he scored 24 points, a significant improvement over the 16.2 he averages on the road this season.
With the Lakers relying on Anthony Davis to carry the offense, I think AD will try to consume as much energy as possible on the defensive end which should improve Jackson Jr.’s numbers. The Lakers are also only 23rd in the NBA in opponent scoring from inside the paint, that should in theory benefit the big man. JJJ can also hurt you from the three-point line as well, he’s making 33.3% of his attempts on the road this season, while vs the Lakers he’s made at least 1 three in 10 of the 11 games he’s faced them. Memphis needs someone to step up offensively here and I think he’s our guy.
