Dallas Mavericks 1 – 10 Win Margin (+200)

The Grizzlies snuck away with a narrow 4 point win this weekend when the two teams met at FedEx Forum. Now it’s time for Dallas to respond, as both teams continue life without their superstars Ja Morant and Luka Doncic. The good news for the Mavericks is that they should get back Kyrie Irving for this game, which is a significant boost for their offense with Doncic still sidelined. Memphis presents a tough defensive challenge, but they were able to score 108 points in the last matchup without their top two scorers.

On the other side, the Grizzlies have the slight edge when it comes to depth production, but they don’t have many reliable options on the offensive end of the floor. Memphis has a terrific defense and they seem to be relying on this strength in Morant’s absence, but the Mavericks motivational edge in this game at home after just falling to the Grizzlies in Memphis makes them the best choice in this game.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 7.5 Rebounds (-118)

Even though he had 7 rebounds and failed to clear this line on Saturday, I’m expecting JJJ to bounce back and do so in tonight’s game. The Mavs might have figured him out on offense, he went just 3-for-12 from the field and failed to make a three in 5 attempts on Saturday, but there are other things he can do in order to help his team if that happens again. Dallas isn’t all that elite when it comes to stopping the opposing team on the glass, they allow the 18th most rebounds in the NBA at 52 a night, while over their last 3 games that’s gone up to 54 per game. Not having their leading rebounder Doncic also helps Jackson here, the Mavs are very thin in the front court which is visible by their average of just 47.5 rebounds per game, ranking 2nd worst in the NBA. In 3 of his last 4 games against them, he’s had 7, 8 and 7 rebounds, so hopefully he can clear this line tonight.

Desmond Bane to Score 20+ Points (-250)

Getting to 20 points seems to be the benchmark for having a good game these days for Desmond Bane. He has been able to do so in 4 of his last 6 games, during that stretch he’s averaging 22 points per game and if it wasn’t for his 7-point performance against the Lakers, that number would have been even higher. Bane is now the leader on the floor for Memphis in the absence of Morant, and after scoring 25 against the Mavericks on Saturday, he’s now averaging 19.5 points per game in 2 meetings on 40% shooting from three-point land. Dallas is still trying to figure things out defensively, they rank only 20th in opponent points in the paint, so if Bane decides to attack the basket, good things will happen. On the road this season, he’s hitting his free throws at a 90.1% clip, so I think he will be able to reach his road average of 21.5 per game here.
