Trae Young to Score 30+ Points (+170)
It wasn’t the best of games for Trae Young last night as he got tossed in the third quarter for throwing the ball too hard at official Scott Wall during a timeout. Luckily for Young his teammates were able to win the game without him, and with him playing just 21 minutes he should be a bit more rested than the rest of the team in tonight’s game. Over his last 10 games he’s averaging 26.4 points per game, that number would have been even higher if it wasn’t for that poor performance at San Antonio a week ago and last night’s game in which he had just 14. His efficiency has been solid during this stretch at over 48% from the field and better than 43% from three.
The Grizzlies defense on the road isn’t exactly all that good, team have torched them from deep on a number of occasions. They’re allowing 37.5% of shots from distance to go in, a player like Young should be able to take advantage of that. He’s had 31 and 36 points in 2 of the last 3 meetings against the Grizzlies, I’m convinced that run will continue tonight.

Jaren Jackson Jr. to Score 20+ Points (+105)
We’re getting pretty solid odds for Jackson Jr. to score 20+ points here, given that he’s averaging 23.5 per game in his last 10 outings while playing only 30.5 minutes per game. His efficiency from the field is really solid at 53.2%, plus he can also make shots from deep as he’s averaging 1.5 made threes per game during that stretch. He’s cleared the 20 point mark 7 times in those 10 games, and against the Hawks who aren’t really known for their interior presence he should do well. The oddsmakers have also set an enormous 246.5 point projected total, which is a clear indicator in which direction this game will go. In 4 career games vs the Hawks he’s averaging 17 points per game, Memphis ranks 27th in the NBA in points allowed from inside the paint over their last 3 games giving up 58 a night. Look for Jackson Jr. to leave his mark here.

Desmond Bane Over 2.5 Made Threes (-138)
Finally, I also have Desmond Bane knocking down a trio of threes here. He’s been able to do that in the last game against Atlanta going 3-for-9 from distance en route to a 15-point game. Ja Morant coming back into the line-up benefits Bane as well. He finally has someone to take the playmaking load off him, plus Morant’s 8.1 assists per game means he’ll find you if you’re open. Bane is making 2.2 threes a game in his last 10 outings on 35.5% efficiency. His numbers dip a bit due to a 0-for-5 night vs the Lakers earlier in the month and a 1-for-7 effort against Dallas earlier this week. As good as Trae Young is on offense, he is a minus player on the other end and I’m sure Bane will make the most out of him guarding him here.
