LA Clippers ML (+610)
I’ll be the first to admit that his is a longshot bet, so I don’t blame you if you’re not following. But is it really that hard to imagine the Clippers pulling off the upset? My thinking is that when you have a player like Russell Westbrook on your team, you’re never out of a game. He takes no possessions off and we’ve seen it in every single game in the series. He’s completely turned back the clock, averaging 26 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game on really solid efficiency, silencing most of his critics. He’ll have to put up similar numbers tonight if LA wants to get the win, as Kawhi Leonard has once again been ruled out with a knee injury, which is the main reason why the Clippers enter this game as 12-point underdogs. All the pressure is on Phoenix in this game, and there’s no harder game in the NBA than the one where you have to put away an opponent. Both Kevin Durant and Devin Booker are averaging over 40 minutes per game in the series and they’re yet to have a bad game. By the law of averages that has to happen at some point, it would be the most Clippers thing ever if they won Game 5 and then proceeded to lose the next game on their home floor. I’ll take them to pull off the massive upset here.

Kevin Durant to score 25+ points (-240)
Kevin Durant has a knack of performing in elimination games. Who would have thought it? In 14 such games he’s averaging 30.2 points per game while shooting over 45% from the field and almost 40% from three. In only 4 of those games he failed to score at least 25 points, while in his 2 most recent elimination games he has put up 39 and 48 on the Celtics and Bucks during his tenure with the Brooklyn Nets. His lowest points output in the series is the 25 points he scored in Game 2, so he’s yet to go under 25 in 4 games. Including the regular season he has cleared this line in 7 of his last 9 games and I fully expect that to continue tonight with no Kawhi and PG13 to guard him. Only one player in this series is able to match up with KD on defense and that guy will be wearing street clothes tonight.
