Golden State Warriors ML (+128)
The Warriors have been terribly inconsistent all season, with their best efforts typically coming at home. This has been especially apparent in games without Steph Curry, as the supporting cast typically plays much better at the Chase Center than on the road. That has been the case over the last 3 games, as Golden State has racked up wins over the Timberwolves, Rockets and Blazers, with Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole and Donte DiVincenzo all shining in those victories.
The Warriors are 25-7 on their home floor this season, and they’ll now face a struggling Clippers team that has lost 3 straight. More importantly, Steve Kerr’s side has seemed to find something on the offensive end. During these recent victories, Golden State has consistently attacked the basket, which has then led to open looks for the likes of Thompson and Poole from deep. The Clippers perimeter defense has struggled mightily during their 3-game skid, so I don’t expect Golden State’s mentality to change. These teams are trending in different directions, so I’ll back the Warriors to stay hot at home, even without Curry in the lineup.

Klay Thompson 4+ Made Threes (-260)
If the Warriors continue playing the way they’ve been since the all-star break, Klay Thompson will have no problems racking threes in tonight’s game. We’ve seen Klay turn back the clock over his last 10 games, he’s knocking down 46.3% of threes and reminding us all of the good ol’ Warrior days when he and Steph were dominating the league. In the month of February, he’s making 5.4 threes per game, with his percentage rising from 43.1% in January to 45.4%. He’s cleared this line in 5 of his last 6, just 2 games ago he erupted for 12 threes against the lowly Rockets. It’s hard to imagine a team like the Clippers allowing someone to go off for 12 threes, but making 4 of them sounds very realistic.
Thompson faced the Clippers twice already this season, his three-point percentage in those games is at exactly 50%, opposing defenses just cannot figure him out at the moment. One of the reasons why LA has struggled so much since the break is their 37.7% of three-pointers allowed in the 3 games they’ve played. It could be another high scoring game, the last time these two played we got 258 points, if that scenario happens again tonight, Klay is in for a big output.
Kawhi Leonard to Record 6+ Rebounds (-145)
Kawhi has cleared this number in back-to-back games against the defending champions. In the game played two weeks ago in LA, he finished with 7, with the inconsistency of big man Ivica Zubac and newly acquired Mason Plumlee, Leonard might have to step up here again and lead the rebounding for his team. In February, he averaged 6.1 boards a game, while clearing this line in 3 of his last 5 games. Golden State is only 23rd in rebounds allowed per game when playing at Chase Center. Opponents are grabbing 53.1 of them per contest so there should be enough to go around for everyone, including Leonard.

Paul George Over 2.5 Made Threes (-184)
George made headlines yesterday for a statement he made during an interview with former NBA player JJ Redick. In a nutshell, PG said he signed with the Clippers, with the intent of being the 2nd fiddle to Kawhi Leonard and that he’s feeling just fine with that. But, make no mistake about it, he is just as good as Leonard on offense, if not better in some segments. One of those segments is definitely shooting the three-ball. Although at times he is a streaky shooter, when George has it going, there’s not a lot of people in the NBA that can slow him down.
He’s gotten to 3 threes in 7 of his last 9 games, while for the month of February he’s shooting it at a 37.7% clip. Prior to the last meeting between these two teams, he had been on a run of 4 consecutive games with at least 3 threes, so it’s very realistic to expect him to get back to those numbers tonight. Golden State has shown improvements on perimeter defense lately, but they are still 19th for the season in opponent three-point percentage.
