He has had issues with the hamstring that kept him out for several games earlier in the season, so it is easy to imagine the Clippers being cautious and keeping him out of this game. With the Nuggets 14-3 at home this season, it would be a tough task for the visitors to win without one of their stars. With Paul George potentially missing out, Kawhi Leonard should see his usage spike in this game. The Nuggets, however, will be looking to force the ball out of his hands, making someone else try to beat them tonight. It should lead to Leonard racking up assists. That is something he has plenty of success doing in December. Leonard recorded 6 or more assists in 9 of the 11 games that he played. The Nuggets should be a favorable opponent for him too. The hosts give up the most assists per game this season. With the ball in his hands and double-teams likely coming his way throughout the night, he will have a great chance of hitting this line.

It should allow the current MVP to remain in the paint throughout the night, contesting for each rebound. With the absence of George, the Clippers are losing one of their most reliable shotmakers. Look for their efficiency to drop off here as a result, leading to more misses for Jokic to chase down. Bam Adebayo was able to pull down 13 rebounds for the Heat in the last game the Clippers played. I expect Jokic to be able to go one better here.
