Brooklyn Nets ML over LA Clippers (+240)
Many people thought the Nets would get destroyed without Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons in their last game, but instead they proceeded to beat the Washington Wizards rallying back from 23 points down. Cam Thomas exploded for 44 points off the bench, while Edmond Sumner added 29. Once again they are huge underdogs at home against the Clippers, who just had a tough road game at Madison Square Garden vs the Knicks who they beat in OT.
Playing extra minutes and having to travel in between games could have a negative effect on LA, they’ve exchanged wins and losses in their last 5 games. Brooklyn won the first meeting earlier in the season by 15 points on the road, they are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings and have covered in 6 of the last 7. I know their roster has seen some drastic changes with the Irving trade, but they do have fresher legs than the Clippers here. Back the home team to pull off the upset.

Paul George to score 25+ points (+125)
Paul George definitely hasn’t disappointed as of late, averaging 23 per game on almost 52% shooting from the field and 42% from beyond the arc. He just finished with 30 in the win over the Knicks, and that was his 2nd game in 5 outings with 30+ points. The Nets are one of his favorite opponents, as he’s averaging 21.3 points per game in 27 career games against them. George has cleared this line in 6 of the last 8 games he’s played against Brooklyn as well.
After a grueling OT win at MSG, the Clippers might opt to rest Kawhi Leonard here as they don’t want to put further stress on his knee. If that’s the case then George should get way more than his usual 17.4 shots per game. The first meeting of the season vs the Nets was one of his worst games, he had just 17 points on 23% shooting, I’m sure he will want to make amends. PG averages more shots in road games than home games this season, so hopefully we get to see that on full display here.
