In the biggest game of their season so far, the Lakers have another chance to eliminate the defending champion Golden State Warriors as the teams contest Game 6 at Crypto.com Arena tonight. Tip-off is at 10:00 pm ET on ESPN and I’ve prepared a Same Game Parlay which you can find below.

Under 222 points (-110)
Once again the Warriors increased the pace and it resulted in a win. The over cashed by a single point thanks to a garbage-time free throw by Wenyen Gabriel. Elimination games are never pretty, so I’m expecting a dogfight on Friday. The projected total has dropped from 226 points to 222 for Game 6, so oddsmakers are counting on the same thing. Including the regular season, 2 of the last 3 meetings at this venue have seen fewer than 222 points scored. This season LA is 19-28 on the O/U when playing at home. It has only the 8th-best offensive rating in home games during this postseason and by far the best defensive rating, so it’s pretty clear what is needed to win games. I believe the under goes hand in hand with the Lakers winning, as does the over with Golden State potentially coming out on top. Since I’m backing LA to advance, it’s logical to go for the under in that scenario.

Draymond Green to record 1+ steals (-350)
Draymond Green finally woke up by scoring 20 points on 7-for-11 shooting in Game 5, providing a much-needed spark for the Warriors with Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole struggling. He also recorded 2 steals and 1 block in that game, which was probably his best postseason performance since the NBA finals in 2019. A similar effort will be needed in Game 6, but this time on the defensive end. Green is averaging 1.2 steals per game in the series and is yet to have a game in this postseason run without one. In 13 elimination games in his career, Green is averaging 2.1 steals per game and he failed to have a steal in only 1 of those games. His effort is never in question and with the Warriors dynasty potentially on the line in this game, you can bet he will be up for it. I’m tempted to go with multiple steals here, but let’s play it a bit safer and back him to get just 1 tonight.

Anthony Davis to record 2+ blocks (-220)
For a moment after Game 5, Anthony Davis had us all scared that he wouldn’t be available for tonight’s game. He got hit in the head late by Kevon Looney, causing him to leave the game and get checked for a concussion. Luckily the results were negative and the Lakers big man will be available. It would have been a shame if he couldn’t play as AD has finally been producing on a consistent level, scoring 20+ points 3 games in a row. However, the Lakers will need him to be much more assertive on the defensive end in Game 6. Davis has shied away from any contact in the last 2 games, which has resulted in zero blocks in both of those games. That’s quite a significant drop-off from Games 1-3 in which he recorded 4, 3 and 4 rejections. His play on defense was a huge factor in the first round against Memphis when he averaged 4.3 per game, in the closeout game against them he blocked 5 shots in just 28 minutes of play. Cutting off the paint would be huge for LA, so I’m sure AD will be instructed to protect it as much as possible.
Philadelphia 76ers vs Boston Celtics Game 7 predictions are also available
Austin Reaves over 1.5 made threes (-128)
After a somewhat slow start to the series, Austin Reaves has picked it up over the past 2 games, scoring 21 and 15 points. He shot exactly 50% from three in both of those games, knocking down 3 of 6 attempts. That’s a good sign for the Lakers heading into Game 6, as they’ll need a lift from their rotation players in order to finish off the defending champions at home. Reaves is averaging 2 threes made per game in the series on 38.5% efficiency, which is higher than Stephen Curry is averaging, for example. Nobody is comparing those players, but it just goes to show how much Reaves has contributed to this run. Closing out the champions will be the toughest game of the Lakers’ season, and against Memphis in Game 6 they had D’Angelo Russell step up with 31 points, so maybe Reaves can follow in his footsteps in tonight’s game.
