Denver Nuggets -2.5 (-110)
The Nuggets couldn’t wish for a better opponent to turn around a mini 2-game losing streak as they face arguably the worst road team in the NBA this season. That’s right, we’ve entered April and the Warriors are still searching for their 10th away win of the season, which is just incredible. Only Detroit, San Antonio and Houston have worse records in the NBA, so to expect anything from the Warriors in tonight’s game would be brave. Denver should get its top players Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope back after a couple of games of absence due to rest. They lead the regular-season series 2-0 and the last meeting at Ball Arena went their way by 17 points. The Nuggets have also won 14 of 20 games against Western Conference opponents and have covered the spread 5 games in a row against teams from the Atlantic Division. Combine that with Golden State going just 1-12 ATS in its last 13 road games I think we have more than enough to trust the home team to cover the spread.

Stephen Curry to score 35+ points (+220)
Steph Curry has gone over 30 points in his last 2 games against the Pelicans and Spurs, knocking down 8 and 7 threes respectively. He will be in good spirits ahead of tonight’s game as the Nuggets are one of his favorite opponents. In the last 8 regular-season meetings he has averaged 33 points against Nikola Jokic and co., while shooting almost 54% from the field and better than 43% from downtown. He’s also making a staggering 5 threes per game during that stretch, which is high even by his standards. In his last 2 visits to Ball Arena he’s scored at least 5 threes both times, while in the 3 most recent games against Denver he’s scored 34 points twice, so betting on him to score 35 is very reasonable. Golden State received some good news with Andrew Wiggins reportedly checking back, but he’s a long way from returning and playing meaningful minutes. Until that happens, I expect Curry to hold down the fort. As good as Klay Thompson has been for stretches this season, they still cannot rely on him on a consistent basis. This is still very much Curry’s team and I expect him to once again show everyone why he’s the best shooter in the NBA.
