The Warriors have finally won a couple of road games after a woeful start, and there’s a chance that they continue their good form tonight down in Dallas. Steph Curry has continuously lit it up for Golden State, and now the likes of Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney are beginning to follow suit. There’s no doubt that the raucous Mavs crowd will be against the Warriors, but Golden State looks good to take the W.

Warriors vs Mavericks point spread pick: Warriors -2 (-110)
Golden State just beat up Minnesota on the road at the Target Center. That might not sound like a headline, but it was just the second time the Warriors have won on the road this season. Now they are off to Dallas to play the team they eliminated from the playoffs in the spring. Steph Curry is having another great season, averaging 31 points per game. Meanwhile, Andrew Wiggins is matching him in 3PTFG% at 44%. He is earning his money too.
Luka Doncic is the only player scoring more per game than Curry so far this season. He is having an MVP season averaging 33/8/8. He has been under his average in 3 of his last 4 games though so you have to wonder if maybe he is struggling carrying too much of the scoring burden with Jalen Brunson now in New York. Dallas is 3rd in the NBA in points allowed but a lot of that has to do with the pace they play at.
The Warriors are 2-9 SUATS on the road this season. That is surprising but there have also been some load management situations in there. That does not appear to be the case for this game and Golden State is favored. After their best road win of the season I like the momentum on the side of the Warriors. This is a small spread so all they have to do is win in this spot. Luka probably scores more than Steph but Curry has a lot more support.
Warriors vs Mavericks Over/Under totals pick: Under 225.5 (-110)
This is the first game these teams have played since they met in the playoffs last spring. In that series the over was 3-2 and all the totals were set lower than this one is. You can’t read too much into those playoff results though so be careful if you are looking at any trend data. Dallas is a good defensive team this season and I think they are playing with less pace than they did a year ago so the under looks good on Tuesday night. Golden State scoring 137 points in their last game is helping create a buying opportunity on the under.
