Philadelphia 76ers ML over New Orleans Pelicans (+100)

The experience is on Philadelphia’s side here. They are 7-1 SU in the last 8 meetings, plus there is also good news on the injury front as Tyrese Maxey has been upgraded to probable for the first time in almost 40 days. I’m expecting a big game from Joel Embiid here as the Pels have one big weakness over their last 3 games and that’s 56.7 points per game allowed in the paint. Even though the Pels are on a 4-game win streak, I am a bit skeptical because two of those wins were against sub-par teams in OKC and San Antonio, and they just barely beat an average Minnesota team at home 119-118 on Wednesday.

Brandon Ingram is yet to return to the New Orleans line-up following his toe injury, and to make matters worse they lost one big body they could have used on Embiid as Larry Nance Jr. has been ruled as doubtful with a neck injury. With a rejuvenated Embiid and Harden, Philly has elevated to one of the best teams in the East. They won by 20 the last time they visited this arena and also swept the regular season series last year.

Milwaukee Bucks -6 over Minnesota Timberwolves (-110)

I honestly can’t remember the last time Milwaukee lost 4 games in a row, at least not in the Giannis Antetokounmpo era. The Greek Freak had 54 points, 22 rebounds and 7 assists, but it still wasn’t enough as the Bucks dropped another game against the Chicago Bulls. That game ended a 5-game road trip with a 1-4 SU record, but with a home game against the average Minnesota Timberwolves they have a solid chance of turning things around.

At 14-3 at Fiserv Forum, the Bucks are one of the best home teams in the NBA. Minnesota, on the other hand, is still without Karl-Anthony Towns and that’s been their Achilles heel over the past couple of weeks. They too are on a 4-game losing streak, with a 7-11 SU record away from home I don’t like their chances here. Their paint has been exposed over the last 3 games with teams scoring 58 points per game on them, we all know how dominant Giannis is one the inside, so that’s definitely something he will exploit here. Don’t be surprised if the Bucks bounce back with a double-digit victory here.

Golden State Warriors ML over Portland Trail Blazers (+120)

You’re telling me that we can get +120 odds for a team that has the best home record in the NBA right now and is currently on a 3-game winning streak? Sign me up. The Warriors might be without Steph Curry, but Jordan Poole has more than filled his shoes averaging 25.1 points per game over his last 10 outings. He matches up with Damian Lillard tonight and although Lillard might have the edge experience-wise, I wouldn’t discount Pool and the Warriors at all here.

Portland has just 1 win in 4 games, they’ve been average at best on the road with a 10-10 record and when it comes to games played at Chase Center, they’ve gotten beaten in 18 of their last 20 visits. Just like their opponent tonight, the Blazers are also missing Justise Winslow and Gary Payton II which is a big blow to their defensive aspirations here. With 11 wins in their last 12 home games played on a Friday, I think backing the Warriors is a no-brainer tonight.
