The NBA returned from its all-star break to begin the proverbial second half of the season with a huge 9-game slate on Thursday. There is almost as much fun set for Friday, with 8 more contests on offer. The schedule includes a doubleheader on ESPN that begins with Milwaukee hosting Miami before Brooklyn pays a visit to Chicago. New York, Cleveland, Phoenix, Golden State and the Clippers are also lacing up their sneakers. Let’s take a look at my 3-team NBA mega parlay for Friday’s action.

Knicks ML (+110)
Suns -7 (-110)
Kings ML (+235)
NBA Parlay odds: +1243
For this parlay, we are going with 1 favorite against the spread and 2 underdogs on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.
New York Knicks ML over Washington Wizards (+110)
The Knicks won their last 3 games before the all-star break and the addition of Josh Hart prior to the trade deadline is looking like a stroke of genius. If anything, New York should get even better toward the end of the regular season. Hart has almost doubled his scoring average (up to 17 ppg) and fits in well with the Knicks’ core that was already present.
The Wizards are nothing special (9th in the Eastern Conference), so there is good value on the Knicks as underdogs even on the road. Washington is 11-14-1 ATS at home, while New York is an impressive 19-10 ATS on the road. As road underdogs, the Knicks are winning half of the time and covering even more frequently than that. Let’s not even bother with the points; let’s go with the outright win.

Phoenix Suns -7 over Oklahoma City Thunder (-110)
No Kevin Durant, no problem. There was hope that Durant would make his debut with Phoenix on Friday following the blockbuster deal at the trade deadline, but he was ruled out following Thursday’s scrimmage. Oh, well; that only means that the spread for this game against the Thunder remains in single digits. The Suns should be able to cover a modest -7 number. They went 11-4 SU in their last 15 games prior to the all-star break and some of those were without Devin Booker. With Booker back, they should continue to roll. The last time the Thunder faced a good team on the road (Golden State on February 6), they lost by 27.

Sacramento Kings ML over Los Angeles Clippers (+235)
Sacramento was the surprise of the entire NBA during the first half of the season, compiling a 32-25 record for 3rd place in the Western Conference. I will stay on the bandwagon and back them to get off to a hot start to the stretch run. The Kings are on the 2nd leg of a back-to-back situation after hosting Portland on Thursday, but that just increases their odds and gives us great value. I’m not too concerned about a back-to-back when everyone just had a full week off. Plus, it’s not like there is any significant travel involved going from Sacramento to Los Angeles. Clippers center Ivica Zubac is sidelined by an ankle injury so that only helps the visitors’ chances.
