Denver Nuggets ML (+290)

You might be wondering why we’re getting such good odds for this bet, well as I’m writing this Denver’s big man Nikola Jokic is questionable for tonight’s game as he did not suit up in last night’s loss to New Orleans. My belief is that he intentionally sat out that game so that he can be ready for tonight’s matchup with Kevin Durant and the Suns. Phoenix is still undefeated when its prized acquisition plays this season at 4-0. KD didn’t have the best of games on Wednesday in his home debut, scoring just 16 points on 5-for-18 from the field. It might take some time for everything to set in place for the Suns, so they might run into problems against a consistent team like the Nuggets. Denver has been solid against the spread all year and also has a winning record on the road and leads the teams’ regular-season series 2-0. If Jokic returns, I really like their chances, so why not take advantage of the massive odds while they’re there?

Devin Booker over 28.5 points (-111)

Devin Booker has been Mr. Reliable in March for the Phoenix Suns. He’s averaging 32.4 points per game in 14 games player, failing to clear 28.5 points only 3 times during that stretch. His efficiency has been through the roof as well at 55.7% from the field and 42.3% from downtown, I believe those numbers will only improve now that Durant is back in the lineup. This will also be a revenge game of sorts for Book, as the last time he played the Nuggets was on Christmas Day and he left that game after just 4 minutes with an injury. He didn’t play for a month due to that injury, possibly costing him a spot in the All-NBA teams at the end of the season. He still has a chance to get in I think, if he can produce a few more big scoring games, so the motivation is definitely there. Prior to that game in December he dropped 49 on the Nuggets in March of 2022, so a year later I’m hoping he can put together another solid performance.
