Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. It is make-or-break time for the Minnesota Timberwolves as they return home looking to overcome a 2-0 deficit. A loss tonight would mean almost certain elimination, as no NBA team has ever come back from 3-0 down. The Nuggets, on the other hand, will be hoping this does not turn into a prolonged series. They have a few key players on their roster with a history of getting injured so they will be keen not to play more games than they have to. It should all be set up for a fascinating battle on ESPN tonight.

We have picks for all today’s games in our NBA predictions but now let’s jump right into my Nuggets vs Timberwolves Same Game Parlay.

Jamal Murray to score 30+ points (+330)

Nikola Jokic 1+ made threes (-140)

Karl-Anthony Towns to record 10+ rebounds (+110)

Parlay odds: +1510

Jamal Murray to score 30+ points (+330)

After scoring 40 points in Game 2, it feels like we are getting to see prime Jamal Murray once again. He has been consistently aggressive in attacking the Timberwolves’ backcourt of Mike Conley Jr. and Anthony Edwards, managing 22 field-goal attempts in each game. Of the hosts’ current starters, they are the lowest-ranked this season in terms of defensive rating and they should remain targets tonight. Murray is also well positioned to punish any big who switches onto him thanks to his explosive first step and deep shooting range. Nikola Jokic has seemed content with taking a back seat to the guard, with Murray leading the team in shot attempts in both games. Similar aggressiveness tonight should lead to another high-scoring game.

Nikola Jokic 1+ made threes (-140)

One thing that Rudy Gobert is more than capable of doing for the Timberwolves is defending one-on-one on the low block. In Game 2, Jokic looked to counter that by stepping out to the perimeter. The reigning MVP was able to knock down 1 of 3 attempts from deep. I expect him to carry on with that approach tonight. On the season he has been efficient, making 38.8% of his 3-point attempts. If he can draw Gobert away from the paint, it would make it easier for Murray to attack their matchup off the dribble and for them to finish on the inside. Establishing Jokic as a deep threat would not only unlock more of his offensive arsenal but should also help the Nuggets offense to gain more space. I expect that to be a point of emphasis tonight.

Karl-Anthony Towns to record 10+ rebounds (+110)

With Gobert sticking to Jokic, it should leave Karl-Antony Towns to clean up the boards for the hosts. He has been successful in doing it so far in the series, recording 10 and 12 rebounds. Being matched up against Aaron Gordon has helped. The Nuggets forward did not attempt a single 3-pointer in Game 2, allowing Towns to stay in better rebounding position. Even if the Nuggets man ventures out to beyond the arc, Towns is unlikely to close out aggressively. Gordon is making only 34.7% of his attempts this season.

With the Timberwolves star also having the size advantage on the inside, he will be favored to win plenty of rebounding battles between the pair. I’m backing him to pull off another double-digit rebounding performance. The Nuggets’ field-goal percentage dropped by 2% on the road this season, which should mean there are more misses for him to chase down.
