Denver Nuggets ML (-108)

To start off the 4-leg parlay I have the Nuggets winning this game. Despite a 8-2 SU edge in the last 10 meetings, Denver is still a slight underdog entering tonight’s game. That might be due to their fairly mediocre 10-10 SU road record this season, but they’ve been in really good form, winning 6 of 7 games and covering 7 times in their last 9 outings. They are playing a Clippers team that will be without Paul George and Luke Kennard, while Kawhi Leonard’s status is always up in the air these days. LA just ended a 6-game losing streak with a home win over Dallas, and they’ve been far from convincing in their last 7 games against Western Conference teams, covering just twice. All in all, the in-form Nuggets should be able to squeeze out a win as they’ve beaten the Clippers by 10 and 31 points in their meetings so far this season. The 10-point win happened at Crypto.com Arena.

Nikola Jokic over 9.5 assists (-130)

The reason why Nikola Jokic came up short of 10 assists in the game against Phoenix is that he played just 28 minutes in that game, which was enough for “just” 9 dimes in a 29-point blowout win. The big man is averaging 10.8 assists per game in December. He does have a minor hand injury at the moment, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Knowing the type of player Jokic is, he will always find ways to reinvent himself. If his shooting hand is bothering him, you can bet that he will just focus more on getting teammates involved instead of forcing his shot on an injured hand. He’s cleared this line 9 times in 13 games and he had 9 assists against the Clippers a week ago in just 24 minutes played. With nobody good enough on the LA roster to stay in front of him on defense, Jokic should have another productive game here.

Kawhi Leonard under 27.5 points (-118)

I’m going to have to see a lot more consistency from Kawhi Leonard before I start backing him on the over. He has had 33 and 29 points in his last 2 games, but prior to that he has cleared this line just 2 times in 12 games. He’s played the Nuggets once this season and finished that game shooting just 28.6% from the field, while missing both of his 3-point attempts. That game took place in Denver a week ago, that was the 6th game in a row against them he’s failed to score 28 points, so it will take a special performance from him tonight to surpass this total. Aside from Jeff Green, who is out of the lineup with a hand injury, the Nuggets should be at full strength, so you can count on their defensive gameplan being based on limiting Leonard’s opportunities to score.

We also have a Warriors vs Spurs Same Game Parlay at +727 odds!

Marcus Morris 2+ made threes (-220)

To close things out and increase the odds a bit, I have a relatively safe bet. Marcus Morris has failed to score 2 threes in a game only once since mid-December. He’s shooting it at 38.7% efficiency while taking 6 attempts per game. One of the biggest reasons why the Nuggets are only 10-10 on the road this season is their lack of perimeter defense in those games. Teams average 38.1% of makes from downtown against them, it’s hard to win in today’s NBA game when you’re giving up that many points from long range. I’m expecting Morris to perform, and the Clippers will need him to step up as both George and Kennard are out and they account for more than 20 shots per game for LA.
