He has also been able to deliver recent performances of 30 or more points against relatively undersized teams in the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder. He is facing another similar situation tonight as he takes on the Mavericks. The Mavs use a combination of Dwight Powell and Christian Wood on the inside. Neither of the 2 has the physical attributes to have a major impact on the Nuggets superstar.
The visitors are one of the more foul-prone teams in the league, ranking 20th in personal fouls per game. With Jokic having the size advantage that he has, and being an 82.9% career free-throw shooter, he should have plenty of success from the line. He is also likely to be able to inflate his scoring numbers through second-chance points. If the Serbian is aggressive in looking for his shot tonight, 30 or more points could certainly be on the cards.

Luka Doncic is currently leading the league in scoring and could be set to continue that tonight against the Nuggets. While he has only recorded 35 or more points in 3 of his last 7 games, the last 2 contests he appeared in have been blowouts. Doncic played under 30 minutes in those games yet still managed points totals of 30 and 33 points. The Nuggets are a competitive team and if the Slovenian sees closer to the 36.8 minutes he averages this season, it will give him a great chance of clearing this over once more.
Matchup-wise, the Nuggets could have trouble dealing with Doncic, especially if the Slovenian gets in the post. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Bruce Brown Jr. could have real trouble dealing with his bulk once the Dallas man gets in and around the paint. If the Nuggets decide to switch Aaron Gordon onto him, the forward is likely to have trouble staying in from of Doncic on the perimeter. The Nuggets are 26th in the league in defensive rating and will have to choose what to give up to Doncic through the night. Expect him to take full advantage and rack up the points tonight.
